It was Committee's objective at that meeting to have the Big <br />0 go and consult all neighbors along their westerly line and agree to exacting <br />a 6 ft. high chain link fence with slats; a retention wall along that side; also <br />to leave the remaining eacistittg bushes and txees. They submitted to Mr. Giesser <br />a list of ten signatures nut of a possible 12. Aiso discussed the tearing down <br />or removal of the tree in between the entra=cce ~d each driveways to the Big 0. <br />Mr. Giesser requested the Police tie~trtssnt to make a survey and indicate whether <br />or not it was a traffic hazard.-Sgt. $ehstitz suitted report and hs indicates that <br />the tree located at above address is not an obstruction or hazard to traffic. <br />Mr. Giesser moved to ap~xove the Big 4 Olds~tobile recommendations as to landscaping <br />of a 6 ft. chain link fence with sLtCs along the westerly property line; a retention <br />wall; to leave the remaining trues end bushes; also ~t to xeatove the esi.sting tree <br />in between the driveways. Motion s+ecc~tdsd by Mr. Goggin. Affirsative vote: <br />Giessex, Goggin, Limpert, Beringer, Sharpe, West,'W3lersysky. 'Motion carried. <br />2) Fred Bower proposed storage building located in industrial park; <br />Mr. Giesser moved that the preliminary plans of Fred Bower proposed storage <br />building be approved, seconded by Mr. Goggin. Mr. Giesser eacplained Mr. Bawer <br />runs a construction business and this is a building where he can house has <br />vehicles. Affirmative vote: Giesser, Gopsgin, Limpert, Sariuger, Sharpe, West, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />3) Committee heard a Mr. Kaserman who appeared before Committee objecting to his <br />rezoning as on the proposed Gamprehensive Plan of his plot of land which is across <br />from Ohio Bell on north side of Lorain Rd. Commaittee discussed this - Mr. Kaserman <br />made his objections and it is further being studied by Gommittee; <br />4) Recreation Gommittee held a short meeting. <br />Mr. Giesser moved that Council appoint Mr. John West, Councilman at Large to the <br />Parks & Recreation Comstission for a five year term ending 12/3]./79. Mr. West <br />replaced Mr. Prokasy for his unexpired term which term expired 12/31/74. Motion <br />seconded by Mr. Liispert. Affirmative vote: Giesser, Goggin, Listtpert, Beringer, <br />Sharpe, Wilanosky. Attained: West. Notion carried. <br />5) scheduled a B.Z.& D. Committee Meeting on February 11, 1975, 8:30 P.M., City Hail. <br />6) Mr. Giesser made following a~ounc t: He and his wife have purchased a hosts <br />on Barton Road which unfortunately happens to be out of his Ward which according <br />to Charter requires that he recast resign. At this time plan on moving, in April or <br />May and at that time Mr. Giesser will submit official resignation. Mr. Giesser <br />would like to thank all of the Council Members and espec3.ally his constituents <br />within his ward for their full support during the last three and one-half years. <br />Mr. Lampert, Chairman Finance Cot~tittee, reported Committee has been meeting <br />regarding negotiations with Fire b Police and at this time have nothing to report <br />out on. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Intra Governmental Relations & Legislatiota Conseittee, <br />.reported Committee reviewed following: 1) request by Mayor for appointments to <br />the 1975 Charter Review Coe~nisaion alr~.ch is compxised of nine memb+mrs . Meyers <br />that the Committee reviewed are as follows: Mr. Haxold Ross, Mr. Ballard Vincent, <br />Mr. Bernard Speedling, Mr. James Boehmitr, Mr. Joseph Reynolds, Jeanne Wailaee, <br />Mr. Roger Criss, Mrs. Sheila Collins and Mr. Harvey Denk.
