..~. <br />Council Minutes of 2-4-75 <br />-3- <br />of the Committee that the aforementioned individuals be approved to serve as <br />Members of the 1975 Charter Review Commission. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved that Council approve the appointments of Harold Ross, Ballard <br />Vincent, Bernard Speedling, James Boehmer, Joseph Reynolds, Jeanne Wallace, <br />Roger Criss, Sheila Collins and Harvey Ds~c. to nerve as rs of the 1975 <br />Charter Review Commission. Motion se by Mr. Goggin. Affireeative vote: <br />Giesser, Goggin, Limpert, Saringsr, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />2) recommendation by Mayor for the a~rpe~iatmextt of Mrs.. Betty Whittlesey to serve <br />on the Advisory Board of the Departt arf Resources to finish unexpired <br />term of Mr. Mark Collier, whose term would have expired May 20th, 1975. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved that the appoints~t of Mrs. Betty Whittlesey be approved <br />with term expiring 5120/75. l~tiora se~oncted by Mr. Gog$in. Affirmative vote: <br />Giesser, Goggin, Limpert, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamoeky. Motion carried. <br />3) Committee discussed possibility of extending terms for Members of the Advisory <br />Board of Department of Human Resources - extending the expiration date from May <br />20th to December 31st of each designated year. Mr. Wilamoskq explained why. <br />Committee will request legislation and law Dept. will be receiving request within <br />next day or so asking legislation he drafted to accos~lish this; <br />4) Committee has been reviewing Rules of C+auncil - have recomm~tdations and going <br />to prepare them in draft form. OPan com~-letion of the draft will review the <br />draft for correctness and praseut it to Cov~ncil for their review and action should <br />it be the desire of Council. <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, scheduled a <br />Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee Meeting on February 11, 1975, 8:00 P.M., <br />city Hall. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Committee, reported Cosaaittee met on January <br />28, 1975, and discussed and reviewed following: 1) report by Lager of Bus Line <br />to Committee on the meeting that he had attended with regard to operating subsidy <br />of Federal Government and our poteetf.al. eligibility; what forms and steps have to <br />be taken, and Committee agreed that we should proceed to make an application; <br />2) discussed mini buses and agreed that we would hold in abeyance final decision <br />on these until a meeting with Regional Transit. Zt is Committee's understanding <br />that after the Board of the Regional Transit is fully appointed they would probably <br />want to have a meeting sometime in February with North Olmsted along with other <br />bus lines; so will hold this up and see how we make out with such a meeting and <br />what their plans are, etc.; <br />3) Committee agreed that we would cooperate with the Mayor's proposal of taking a <br />poll of our riders on bus line to nee what their wishes are with regard to <br />Regional Transit after we understand fully what the new Board has in mind; <br />4) dis~s7.tssed possibility of renting buses from C.T.S. between maw and the time <br />we get federal grant for the purchase of our new buses; and tha Manager of the <br />bus line has been in contact with C.T.S.. - they are willing to lease. Tt is a <br />question now of on what terms and dust how we would make out on it financially; <br />5) discussed some traffic lights and took no action on it; <br />6} next Transportation Committee M+setiog is February 13, 2975, 8:00 P.M., City Hall, <br />and in addition to other things, will areset with the bus drivers to discuss their <br />wage proposals. <br />n, <br />1 <br />
