Thinks as residents of the c tq and who attend these <br />meetings i*_ is up to them to guide Council iu making that determination. <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, reported this <br />Committee reviewed following: 1) application for a C-1 permit to Dover Center <br />Meats, Inc., 271369 Lorain Rd. and Coswdttee has no objections to application; <br />2) D-5 permit to Red Lobster Ids of /I~we~ca, Inc., 2400.1 Lorain Rd., and <br />Committee has no objectiossr to a~lication; <br />3) D-5 permit to Alex 3xarka, dba Saa~ckas Taste of H~mgary Restaurant, 24691 <br />Lorain Rd. and Committee has n~ obj~ectcs~s to application; <br />4) scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Weelfare Cot~rnittee feting on January 20, <br />1975, 8:15 P.M., City Hall. <br />Mr. West, Chairman Transportation Committee, announced a Transportation Committee <br />Meeting has been set up for January 14, 1975, 7:313 P.M., City Hall. One of the <br />items to be discussed. in the mini buses and other buses that are proposed to be <br />cut back and have invited those patties ~o have expressed interest in this <br />transportation to attend and express their visas. <br />President O'ATei1i introduced Mr. Danald Copeland , Director of Department of <br />Human Resources, who was in audience. <br />People Addressiteg Council: <br />Mr. Kent Huntington, 29701 Wellington, addressed Council on the following: <br />strongly in favor of the smoking ban in Council Chambers; discussed Res. Igo. 75-5; <br />Comprehensive Plan - in favor of resanimg and gave reasons therefor; feels thin <br />is a starting point on that which he fee3,s is long overdue. <br />Mr. Mark Grodek, 26633 Waterbury Circle, addressed Council pertaining to what <br />a Director of Auman Relations does. Discussion followed. <br />Mary Whitener, 4574 Kew Drive, addressed Council in support of maintaining the <br />mini bus service and possible extending the service; urged publicity of the <br />service as well as retaining same.. <br />Mr. Paul Cowgill, 4639 Ashbury Park, addressed Council urging the continuation <br />of the mini bus service giving reasons therefor. <br />Mr. Delmar Ernest, 3010b Lorain Rd., addressed Council and Administration on <br />following: Comprehensive Plan legislation, notice of public hearing and cast; <br />discussed with Law Director specifics of classifications; and discussed with <br />those who were on Council in 1962 when the Zoning Code was adapted - the way <br />they voted, etc. Also, rec. ed passage of resolution No. 74-129; and is <br />in favor of a no smoking order in Council Chambers. <br />Mr. C.
