~" Y <br />Council Minutes of 17.--16-76 <br />-7- <br />Reaolut~.on No. 76-166 was introduced by Mr. West and given its first reading. <br />A Resdlu~ion authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for two vehicles to be used at the Treatment Plant and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same. <br />Ordinance No. 76-167 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus property owned by the City of North <br />Olmsted and located at the intersection of McKenzie Road and Windsor Drive, in <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 76-168 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to en~~e~c into an agreement for the interchange <br />of the Fire. Personnel, Fire Equipt and the fire services of the Fire Departments <br />of the five communities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, North Olmsted, cocky River <br />and Westlake, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. President Lampert referred same <br />into Safety Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. West asked Mr. Childs if it is correct that the parking lot at Rec Center will <br />not be paved this year. Mr. Childs stated this is correct unless we get some <br />unexpected good weather. Mr. Wilamosky discussed the financing of same with <br />Finance Director Gerlach. Mr. Childs explained the work done so far with respect <br />to the paving. Mrs, Saringer asked if this will cause a reflection in the price <br />of the paving of the Rec Center. Mr. Childs stated he does not think it will <br />alter the price, etc. <br />Mrs. Saringer discussed with Safety Director Carnahan her request sometime ago <br />to check into having no passing on Clague Rd. south near the bend all the way up <br />to Brookpark. Safety Director Carnahan said they are still looking into same. <br />Mr. Beaty requested Safety Director Carnahan to send his recommendations to the <br />Transportation Committee. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer requested legislation for the 1977 sidewalk repair program. <br />Mr. Wilamosky requested legislation for advertising for bids for tires and <br />recapping. <br />Mr. Wilamosky requested Safety Director Carnahan to have the Safety Department <br />take under consideration the placement of a sign indicating that Bretton Ridge Dr. <br />west of Christman Dr. is not a thru street - it is a dead end, and explained reasons <br />for such request. <br />Mr. Beaty scheduled a Transnoxtatioa Committee Meeting on November 29, 1976, <br />7:30 P.M., City Hall. <br />Mrs. Saringer discussed calls she has received regarding the 87 bus going downtown <br />in the morning: the last bus is 7:30 a.m. and is a flyer and the next one after <br />that is around 8:30 a.m. and you have to transfer at 210 St. and there is standing <br />room only on the first and second bus; and requested either an additional flyer <br />or a bus where people do not have to stand all the way downtown. Mr. Beaty stated <br />Transportation Committee will check into same. <br />Mr. West referred to letter from the Board of Elections requesting information on <br />the salaries of elected officials.
