Council Minutes o- 10--5~~~76 ,~_
41 the meeting with Mr. Bob Hill will be held October.. ,],~,, 1976, 8 :00 .P..k[. ,
City Ha11. All of Council is invited to attend; and requested Clerk to inform
Mr. Prokasy, Chairman Planning Commission of the meeting.
Mr. West, Chairman Environmental Control Committee, reported Committee had two
meetings - one jointly with Streets b Drainage Committee and discussed the
drainage problem in Forest Ridge oa the northern end. The City Engineer had
prepared all of the engineering data and cost estimates far solving the drainage
problem and the conclusion was that the homeowners at this point do have the
best way of correcting the problem by installing a sump pump and disconnecting
the storm water drainage line that goes into their basement. The other means
of solving the problem involved installing new street storm sewers plus retention
basins - all of which would cost considerable amount of money which the City does
not have at this time. Did, however, promise that this drainage problem along
with several others that we have in the City would be pushed to see if we can't
get regional solutions to the problem because most all of these problems are
effected by drainage in neighboring cities and these cities so far have had no
willingness to spend their money to correct our problems;
2) the other Environmental Control Committee meeting was with the Finance Committee
and Mr. Wilamosky has reported on that.
People addressing Council:
Mr. Dave 3ones, 4434 Williamstown Drive, addressed Council with respect to his
water bill and cost of same.
