The lire Chief advised thee <br />Chairman that he has talked to his officers of the Fire Dept. regarding the <br />operation of two rescue squads. Our City is <br />eligible to participate in a crime prevention seminar to acquaint the community <br />with techniques and methods for thee reduction of crime throu~- citiaen involvement. <br />Transportation costs Will ~ realwrsed to the Gity. Hcwsng accomodations are <br />furnished. The cost to the City is for teals, incidental s and a registra- <br />tion fee of X30. per person. Rsquiremazets for psrticipation are that ass. elected <br />City Official, a Police Ad~inistrator sad a Commnenity Citisen participate in the <br />four day program. The Committee also discussed which sleeted officials may be <br />able to attend. Committee felt that a maem~-er of the Safety Commdttee should <br />attend sad recoamends that Council co~ider Mrs. 3aringer. Committee approves <br />of the program asul moves that l~cs. Saringer attend as the elected Official <br />Representative. <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved that Janet Sarager attend the seminar as the elected <br />Official Representative, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirvattive vote: Beaty, <br />Boehmer, Goggin, Sharpe, West. Abstained: Beringer. Abtion carried. <br />The expenses for this sesinar are approximately $E-00. Com®ittee recammaeads <br />North Olmsted participate and further recommend that a portion of thee cost be <br />paid out of police organization and travel fund, a portion out of Council <br />organization and travel fund and bals:ace be transferred from the huldng Dept. <br />line item Inspectors Fund. The Building Commissioner has been advised and has <br />no objections. <br />President Limpert asked the Finance Committee if there has been any attempt <br />made by the Committee to negotiate with other factors of the Gity, realizing <br />there is a stalemate regarding the Safety Forces. Mrs. Sharpe stated as of <br />this date the Finance Committee has no meetings scheduled. <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Develop®sat Committee, repartad the <br />B. Z. & D. Committee met on April 14, 1976 and Maq 10, 197b along With other <br />Members of Council. On April 14, 1976, Committee discussed Ord. lio. 76-49 and <br />Ord.
