.. _ ~~ <br />~. <br />,.. .~, <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />+~ .,.T OF TAE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTLD <br />DECEMBER 20, 1977 <br />Present: President Dewey Limgert, Councilmetn Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringe~r, <br />Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Law D3.~ctor Michael Gateau, Finance Director <br />William Gerlach, Safety Director Richard Roharik, City Faa~gineer J. Howard <br />Childs, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Limfrert at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of December 6, 1977 were approved as read. <br />President Lampert introduced Mrs. Florence Campbell, Assistant to the Clerk of <br />Council. <br />Mayor Christman reported: 1) have received a letter from County Engineer Stackhouse <br />requesting the City of North Olmetetd provide the engineering work in regard to 'the <br />Claque Rd. restructuring; <br />2) received the Farrel Environstental lmp~wct Stateptent on I-480 and it is on file <br />in the Metyor's office; there is also a copy in the library, at I~ACA, Regional <br />Planning Coese~.nsion. Belietv~ets there is a 30 day time limit in which to review it <br />and made any commetnts on it. <br />Law Director Gateau reported: 1) the Burkett Case is set for February; <br />2) filed a reply brief to a mrtrtion for a new trial on the Big 0 Case this past week; <br />3) the Warchol Cas¢ has betea set tentatively fox trial in March; <br />4) received one cet11 from a resideea~ with respect to people during these saawstorsm <br />pushing snow across the street into the neighbor`s yard. Perhaps a councilman would <br />like to look into this: thinko this can bet regulated and will be happy to work <br />with Council in that regard; <br />5) Law Director Garesau stated he mould lake to wish all the members of the Adminis- <br />tration and Council who are leaving of#et¢tve January lst the best of luck: have <br />really enjoyed working with them; have had their cooperation and appreciates that. <br />Safety Director Koharik reported: 1) Ord. No. 77-202 on first reading tonight i~ <br />in resgonse to matey calls to Safety Director about "sign pollution". At the present <br />time, we must place signs on every street in the City to enforce the: all night <br />parking ban. The ban is needed as a deterrent to crime but we now must use too <br />many signs to enforce it. Ord. No. 77-202 will help minimize sign pollution; <br />2) referred to parcel of property on right of way of I-480 - a house that has been <br />partially disassembled and not moved. Would like to refer same to Law Director <br />Gateau to see what recourse the City might take. President Lampert, Mr. Wilamosky <br />and Safety Director Koharik discussed condetstnation, etc., along with conversation <br />Mr. Wilamasky had with the Building Commissioner. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Camm3.tte+e and Long Range Planning Committee, <br />reported following: 1) Committee mst with Fire Department Negotiating Committee <br />in a three hour session discussing a wage program for the upcoming year. Com~ai.ttee <br />~- does not have anything final to report on with ~Cespect to a recoswee-dation.
