Howard Childs, <br />Clerk of Council Nora Hi11. <br />Absent: Councilman Sharpe. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Lampert at 8:00 P.M. <br />Minutes of Council Meeting of November 15, 1977, were approved as read; Minute$ <br />of Special Council Meeting of November 17, 1977, were approved as read. <br />President Lampert read following report to Council from Mayor Christman: <br />1) have been informed by O.W.D.A. that the Treatment Plant expansion has now <br />been federally funded to the maasm S5~X level thereby decreasing our payment <br />from $108,000 per six months to $91,Ot~ per six months; <br />2) Mrs. Betty Whittlesey has infar~et thmm Mayor of her resigaatian from the <br />Advisory Board of the Degartmeaat of 8nman Resources, effective Dace~-er 31, 1977; <br />3) Mx. Jac Ken Nee has informed the Mayor that he will be resigning from Planning <br />Commission, effective December 31, 1977. <br />Safety Director Koharik reported: 1) a number of projects concerning the. Fire <br />Department have been completed: Both roofs have been completely refurbished on <br />Fire Station ~1 and Fire Station ~2 and we no longer have leaky roofs; <br />The hot water boiler in Fire Station #2 hats been reglaced. Have also installed <br />a new radio communications system in Fire Station #1. Members of Council are <br />invited to view this; <br />Z) Ord. No. 77-194 is on first reading tanight anal would request Council consider <br />passing this under suspension so that we nEay dispose of these materials as soon as <br />possible; <br />3) the North Olmsted Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars has selected Police Detective <br />Gabe Dellapasta and Fire Captain Richard Lampert to receive their outstanding <br />community service award this year; <br />4) Four new policemen will be swore 1n on Sunday, December 11, 1977, at 3:00 P.M.; <br />5) the emergency snow parking ban has been in effect since Noon today. <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairman Streets & Drainage Committee, reported Committee meeting <br />was held on November 22, 1977. The only item discussed was an approximate 2 ft. <br />encroachment on the driveway by Wendy's Restaurant that is interferring with the <br />installation of sidewalks. The ~-gineex did send a letter to the owner and we <br />are awaiting a reply from him before Council would take action. <br />Mr. Beaty, Chairman Transportation Coawenittee, reported Committee met on November <br />28th with a number of residents from the Burns Rd. - Southern Ave. area with regard <br />to the. stop sign at Burns ~ Southern. The Committee, after discussion with the <br />people, recommends the installation of a stop sign at that intersection. <br />Mr. Beaty moved to amend the Traffic Control Map for the installation of a stop <br /> <br />
