MINUTES OF THE MEETING CF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED NOVEMBER 15; 1977 Present: President Dewey H. Lampert, Councilmen Beaty, Baehmer, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Also present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Law Director Michael Gareau, Safety Director Richard Koharik, Service Director Henry Caster, Clerk of Council Nora Hill. Absent: Councilman Fairfield. Meeting was called to order by President Lampert at 8:00 P.M. Minutes of Council Meeting of November 1, 1977, were approved as read. President Lampert introduced Councilman Beaty's two Aunts from Kentucky seated in audience. Mayor Christman reported: 1) have some suggested revisions to Ord. No. 77-174 and all Members of Council have received copy; 2) would like to report the resignation of Dolores Snodgrass from the Architectural Review Board, effective November 14, 1977; and the resignation of Mr. Conrad Evanoff, from the Planning Commission, effective November 1, 1977. Feels that replacements for these should be at the discretion of the incoming administration so will name no replacements; 3) the athletic program at the High School was a hugh success this Fail. The Mayor gave details of standings of teams and individuals in golf, girls tennis, volley ball, cross-country, football and soccer. Proclaimed November 15, 1977, as Soccer Day in North Olmsted in recognition of the North Olmsted Soccer Team winning the State Title. Law Director Gareau reported: 1) the mandamus action with respect to Rush vs. City of North Olmsted is settled again - this time Law Director Gareau hopes permanently; 2) at last Council Meeting Councilman Sharpe asked for certain revisions to the Zoning Code. Have since talked to Mrs. Sharpe because there are other revisions that must be made. In the month of December Law Director plans on working on a whole new Code as we did the last time - the only difference would be attaching the existing zone map to it and eliminate some of the new classifications that were in the old proposed code; 3) have prepared and will give to City Engineer Childs for his review a new platting code which accomplishes what the Council is requesting relative to small parcel splits. If everything is acceptable it will be on first reading at next Council Meeting. Mrs. 5aringer, Chairman Streets & Drainage Committee, scheduled a Streets & Drainage Coamittee Meeting oa November 22, 1977, and requested the City Engineer to be in attendance: Time of meeting is 8:00 P.M., City Hall. Mr. Beaty, Chairman Transportation Committee, scheduled a Transportation Committee Meeting on November 28, 1977, 8:00 F.M., City Aall. Would like to invite residents of Hums Rd. and Southern Ave. area to meeting; also requested Safety Director to attend.
