No. 77-116 adapted. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Service Dizector Caster requested Res. No. 77-87 be referred .back to Environmental <br />Control Committee giving reasons therefor: were discussing sanitary sewer repairs <br />in the northeast corner of town and a survey of a section of the sotnthaast corner <br />of town will be completed within a day or so sad ore may have more carious problems <br />than we do in the northeast corner, at-this times. President I,impert referred <br />Res. No. 77-87 into Environmental Control Committee. <br />Mrs. Saringer referred to ban on phosphates discussion at last Co~cil Meeting <br />wherein sire mentioned that she had discwssd this at one time: Zn going through <br />the Minutes of Council back on 3une 19, 1973 Mrs. Saringer was Charvan of <br />Environmental Control Committee and reported Mrs, Saringer a Mea-ber of the Southwest <br />Cuyahoga County City Council Representatives, had a meeting of the Etprssentatives <br />at City Hall on June 9, 1973 wherein the Representatives heard Mr. Dubevec, <br />Engineer for Akron's Wastewater Treatment Plant who explained the operation of <br />Akron's ban on phosphate cohtaining detsrgents and how Akron's stance created <br />a defacto water quality region in Sums~.it County. Moreover the ban on phosphates <br />saves Akron taxpayers over $625,000 s year in decreased water purification and <br />sludge hauling costs. Mrs. Saringer stated this was four years ago: feels it is <br />an interesting point. <br />Mr. West requested Law Director Garesu to review Section 7 of Ord. Nos. 77-104 <br />and 105, with respect to certain wording. <br />Mr. West scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting for June 20, 1977, <br />8:00 P.M., City Hall, and requested Service Director Caster to be in attendance <br />and have information regarding the sanitary sewers. <br />Undex New Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer referred to the organizational charts and the fact that Mr. Wilam~sky <br />had discussed same at his Finance Cot~ittee meeting; however, wonda~rs if all of <br />Council are aware of dust what the increases are and if a meeting of Council as a <br />~~; Whole is in order especiallq with tha Mayor's stateam~nt about not having enough <br />funds and manpower: thinks we should take a hard look at some of these raise <br />increases and really consider if this is suitable to our liking because she does <br />not know all the detail discussion that went on at the meeting and would like to <br /> <br />
