Has figures that he would like to tuna over to <br />Safety Committee and thi~}ks i,t would be ws11 Wirth looking into: thinks there is <br />a lot of potentia.7, ou sop~e o~ the routine calls which are eon-life threatening <br />and non-critical where we cou~.d save our trained paramedics and fire fighters <br />back at the station and start contracting some of this out: thinks it might even <br />be cheaper in the long run plus it might give us same extra manpower that we are <br />in need of. Would like Safety Committee to seriously look into this. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked Safety Director Roharik regarding the manning of the fire <br />station at the west end of town are we assured that we are going to have a minim <br />of two paramedics manning the ambulance at the west end of town. Safety Director <br />Roharik stated that is correct. <br />Mr. West stated as a bus rider he would like to say that we did get further action <br />from RTA as a result of our meeting a few months ago with respect to some changes: <br />they have reduced the number of express stops on Franklin Ave. which has helped <br />out considerably in speeding up our traffic; they are still working on it and <br />trying to help us out. <br />Mr. Beaty stated the later report put out bq RTA listed all of the suburban bus <br />lines and North Olmsted is the largedcand it was also the cheapest per mile and <br />the most efficiently run of any of the suburban lines as a part of flTA. <br />Mrs. Sharpe requested the Safety Director to look into the light at Great Northern <br />& Brookpark Rds - it stays red for traffic going north to Lorain Rd. and would <br />like this checked out. <br />Mr. Fairfield referred to item in newspaper where RTA is going to cut back <br />services for the Summer and asked i.f that is going to affect the North Olmsted <br />Liner Mr. Beaty said as of right now he has not seen the proposals. Mayor said <br />we hive heard nothing from ahem. <br />Service Director Caster referred to service equipment that was bid: thinks someone <br />shoult} request a note ordinance to ~gver total amount within the new future, etc. <br />Finance Director Gerlach requested $~rvice Director Caster to advise the amount of <br />money. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mr. West requested legislation authorizing taking of bids and performing the <br />work on the sanitary sewer program repairs. <br />Mr. Wilamosky requested following legislation: 1) advertising for bids for <br />repair of Fire Engine #4 on e~tergency basis; <br />2) transfer of $200. from General Fund line item "Miscellaneous " to General <br />Fund line item "Fireworks"; <br />3) amend Ord. No. 72-19 to increase the Police Petty Cash Fund for feeding of <br />prisoners to $100.; <br />4) advertise for bids to repair the roofs of both Fire Stations; <br />5) advertise for bids to replace the boiler in Fire Station #2; <br /> <br />
