Council Minut,ss of 5-3-77 -1Q- <br />Resolution No. 77-80 was introduced by Mrs. Sharpe and gives its fired reading. <br />A Resolution accepting for recording purpoa~es..o~p].y the--Grovel,Knd,__~aicden Subdivision <br />No. 2 in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution No. 77-81 was introduced by Mr. Fairfield and given its first reading. <br />A Resolution of Cooperation between the City of I~rrth O1ffisted sad the North Opted <br />Community Council for the purpose of adogting att official seal for the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 77-$2 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance establishing as affirmative action program as it relates to equal <br />employment opportunity policies of the City of North Olmsted and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 77-83 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agxeement with the Cuyahoga <br />County Welfare Department for the purpose of utilizing laborers involved in the <br />.County Relief Program sad declaring an emergency. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky discussed with Safety Director Koharik the repairs to Fire Engine <br />4t4 and time involved; ~;,~ tj,~ ~ .with respect to trade in of the old piece <br />of equipment for the new fire engine. Mr. Wilamosky requested Safety Director <br />Koharik to see whether we could extend the period that we entered into from 30 days <br />to 60 or 90 days before we turn in the equipment. Safety Director Koharik explained <br />we have had the new fire engine for 20 days now and the trade in was expected soon <br />but per Mr. Wilamosky's recommendation he will see if we can get an extension. <br />Mr. West suggested legislation be requested right now on an emergency basis <br />authorizing the repair of Fire Engine #4 and explained reasons therefor. Mr. <br />Wilamosky agreed, <br />Mrs. Sharpe requested the City Engineer to send the Tallwood Estates Subdivision <br />plans back to Planning Commission to be amended to provide a chain barricade <br />across Ranchview Avenue entrance. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked regarding tree planting if there is any reason why it could <br />not be done in the Spring instead of the Fall. Mr. West stated we have already <br />passed the planting season, etc. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked if the brush pickup is behind and requested Service Director <br />Caster to check into Walter Rd. - she has received a complaint that the brush <br />has been out for three weeks. Service Director Caster said brush pickup is a <br />day behind schedule: received same complaint on Walter Rd. and this is being <br />checked into. <br />Mrs. Saringex stated she would like to commend Safety Director Koharik's <br />expediency in his two weeks on the Sob - wishes some of it would rub off in other <br />directions; it makes for good government to give councilmen the courtesy of <br />returning a call and giving an answer even though it may not be satisfactory, and <br />wishes to commend Mr. Koharik. <br />Mr. Boehmer asked Service Director Caster if we are still on leaf pickup. <br />Service Director Caster stated if there are leaves from. last Pall then we are <br />still on leaf pickup. Mr. Caster stated there is nothing to prevent the residents <br />from baggimg the leaves and putting them out with the regular garbage. Mr. Boehmer <br />stated there is an illness and the person cannot do this. Mr. Caster requested the <br />
