<br />Council Minutes of 4-5-77 <br />_~,. <br />requires legislation regarding Equal Opportunitq before ws- ivcoiva.~,y ..crf <br />the block grant money. Mayor stated this also will apply to General Revenue <br />Sharing Funds. <br />Mr. Boehmer scheduled a Legislation Committee Meeting on April 18, 1977, <br />8:00 P.M., City Hall. Mr. Fairfield said he will not be able to attend. <br />Mr. Fairfield will discuss subject matter with Mr. Boehmer before the meeting <br />date. <br />President Pro Tem Saringer scheduled a Special Meeting of the Council to be <br />held on April 7, 1977, 7:30 P.M., City Iia11, for the third reading of Ord. <br />No. 77-42 and consideration of the C-1 and C-2 applications to Southland <br />Corporation. <br />Mr. Beaty commented to Mr. Fairfield with respect to Ord. No. 77-56 that the <br />Transportation Committee adopted a policy because of court rulings with respect <br />to using stop signs for street control that if the homeowners association would <br />submit a petition the Committee would consider it, If there were a sufficient <br />number of people that want a stop sign then the Committee will go ahead and <br />recommend it. Mr. Fairfield said the homeowners have requested it. Mr. Beaty <br />stated he was contacted ninths ago and did not hear from them again. <br />Mr. Beaty stated he will appreciate any input from Mr. Fairfield with respect <br />to the traffic signal at Dover & Lampert Lane. Mr. Fairfield stated the people <br />who live on Dover have requested same -they cannot get out of their driveways, <br />and discussed the amount of traffic on hover Center Rd. and the many subdivisions <br />coming out onto Dover Center, in that area. <br />Mr. Beaty moved to excuse the absence of President Lampert and Councilman West, <br />seconded by Mr. Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Beringer, <br />Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Beaty moved for adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Sharpe. Affirmative vote: <br />Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Meeting adjourned to the call of the Clerk at 10:40 P.M. <br />. q <br />Nora T.
