Council Minutes of 4-5-77 -2- <br />slight deficit of about $2,000 a month - in the-month of January,hut.ara trying <br />to look into this from bath the Committee and the Co~aissionr and make some <br />recommendations to try to correct this loss of income and to decrease our expenses <br />and increase our income. Mr. Fairfield cants to eit in on a Commission tweeting <br />first before anothex meeting is scheduled with Recreation Committee and Recreation <br />Commission. <br />Mr. Beaty, Chairman Transportation Committee, reported Committee has not met but <br />Committee decidelto place Bea. No. 77-27 back on the agenda. Have been waiting <br />for some input from the Safety Director and as of right now we are without a <br />Safety Director. Committee does recomsetul against the passage of Byes. No. 77-27 <br />which is the abandonment of the construction of Stearns Rd. interchange. <br />Mr. Boehtwer, Chairman Intra Governtwental Relations & Legislation Committee and <br />Public Safety, Health & Welfare Cot~ittee, reported Committees met on March <br />29th and discussed the liquor applications for a C-1 and C-2 permit to Southland <br />Corporation dba 7 Eleven Food Store, 27650 Lorain Rd. and Committee has no objections. <br />Mr. Boehtner moved Council does not object'to the appl~:oaioes far C-1 and C-2 permits. <br />Mra. Saringer stated at the time Committee discussed this she was not sure where <br />the lotation was and asked if this is a dry precinct. Lengthy discussion ensued <br />by Council, Mayor Christman and Law Director Gareau. <br />Mr. Boehmer withdrew his motion and requested Clerk of Council to check into the <br />precinct in which this is located, boundary lines, etc. <br />2) Legislation Committee also discussed the Community Cabin and found out to keep <br />it open and renting it out is costing approximately $13,000. The main purpose of <br />the meeting was to discuss the senior citizens groups wanting to use the Community <br />Cabin free of charge. Committee came up with a recommendation that alI North <br />Olmsted Serior Citizens Groups shall be permitted to use the Commmunity Cabin <br />facilities once every month for organizational meetings free of charge provided <br />that the tweeting tits are held between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 5:30 P.M. and <br />provided that the time €or such meeting is reserved 30 days in advance with the <br />office of the Director of Public Service. <br />Committee also discussed the rates and charges currently in effect for the rental <br />of the Community Cabin and recotaomend the following rates for rental of the Cabin: <br />Nonprofit North Olmsted Organization: Evening (except Saturday evening) - $20.00; <br />Saturday evening - $30.04; Afternoon - $15.00; Morning - $10.00. <br />North Olmsted Resident or North 01t~ted Organization, other than above: <br />Evening (except Saturday evening) - $50.00. These changes appear in Ord. No. <br />77-66 on agenda this evening. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Cotsa#.ttee, reported Committee reviewed the <br />recommendations submitted by the City Bngineer to change hourly time charge for <br />Engineering Dept. work and Committee has no objections. The B. Z. & D. Committee <br />also reviewed request and will report out on same. <br />Mra. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Development Committee, reported Committee <br />met on March 24, 1977. Also in attendance were Building Commissioner Gandy, <br />City Engineer Childs, Mr. W. Augustine and residents from Decker Road. Under <br />discussion was Mr. Gundy's decision regarding a Zoning Board tweeting held March 2, <br />1977, of what constitutes the train livable area of a hotwe.
