<br />Council Minutes of 4-5-77 -3- <br />illustrations of said model home it was the contention of the B.Z.&D. Committee <br />that the Comsittee sustain the Building Commissioner's ruling on the home being <br />built at Decker ~ Southern Avenue; <br />2) Committee discussed the Pine Subdivision located between Driscoll Lane and <br />Lampert Lane, the subdividing of 13 parcels from four existing lots. Commrittee <br />had no objections and Res. No. 77-61 is on first reading tonight; <br />3)Committee received a letter from City Engineer Childs and Law Director Gareau <br />regarding legislation to change hourly tip charges for Engineering Department <br />work. Committee is in agreet with the new changes and are requesting the <br />Finance Committee to consider the request for the new charges and requested legisla- <br />tion, Mr. Wilaa~osky has already reported out on same; <br />4) Committee discussed Ord. No. 77-65 which is on first reading tonight - establishing <br />design standards for sidewalk curb ramps in new subdivisions and streets being <br />constructed or reconstructed. Request this ordinance be referred to Planning <br />Commission for their recommendation and cominsnts; <br />5) in January, Mrs. Sharpe received a letter from Mr. W.A. Terpenning, representing <br />the Standard Oil Company requesting a hearing regarding the rezoning of a parcel of <br />land at the northeast corner of Lorain Rd. and the proposed I-480 at the County Line. <br />On January 25, 1977, the Planning Commission denied the requested rezoning. Mrs. <br />Sharpe requested Planning Commission advise Committee reasons for the denial of <br />the requested rezoning. Mrs. Sharpe attended Planning Commission meeting on March Z3, <br />and was advised of their reasons for this denial. Committee than discussed same <br />and it was the contention of the Comsai.ttee net to pursue the request for a hearing <br />from Mr. W. A. Terpenning. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. William Wylie, 4384 Ranchview Avenue, addressed Council with respect to the <br />proposal to extend Ranchview north into the Tallwood Subdivision; the request for <br />a variance before the Zoning Board of Appeals .concerning the gas regulator building <br />on the premises. Mr. Wylie stated reasons for his objections. Will appear before <br />the Zoning Board of Appeals to object. <br />Mrs. Mary Schwab, 29509 Lorain Rd., addressed Council thanking her.. Councilman for <br />his help in getting her leaves picked up today. Stated a complaint that the <br />Service Department did not pick up her leaves while picking up others. Discussion <br />ensued. <br />Mr. Andrew Bekeny, 4416 Ranchview Avenue, addressed Council with respect to the gas <br />well on the premises when they approved the cutting through to Tallwood Subdivision. <br />City Engineer Childs discussed same. in detail. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. William Wylie, 4384 Ranchview Avenue, referred to the Ohio Oil and Gas Law <br />and read transcript from that Law. <br />President Pro Tem Beringer stated it would behoove Council to attend the Zoning <br />Board of Appeals meeting tomorrow night and check same out thoroughly. <br />Mrs. Geasla Szabo, 30837 Bradley Rd., addressed Council with a complaint regarding <br />the Community Cabin: on date reserved were not allowed in at 6:00 p.m. and were <br />able to get into the Cabin at 6:30 P.M. and none of the chairs or tables were set up. <br />Had requested a certain nua~er of tables but did not receive same. Mr. Caster <br />discussed same. <br />Mr. Edward Ellesch, 4385 Ranchvew Avenue, addressed Council regarding Ranchview <br />extending into Tallwood Subdivbion; stated his reasons fox objecting to same; <br />discussed the gas well and regulator building and why he feels seas: is a safety hazard. <br /> <br />
