Mr. Fairfield asked Law Director <br />Gareau if two-thirds are not here tonight, Law Director Gareau stated no - <br />every member even though they are not here are still eligible to vote. <br />Ordinance No. 76-141 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North <br />Olmsted to provide for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection <br />of Decker and Lorain Roads. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, seconded by Mrs. <br />Sharpe. Mr. Beaty asked if the State comes into play on this. Law Director <br />stated no - the agreement was with the aunty. Roll Ca11 on Motion: Affirmative <br />vote: Boehmer, Fairfield, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Beaty. <br />5 Yeas - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Ord. No. 76-141 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 77-27 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution urging the State of Ohio Department of Highways to abandon the <br />proposed construction of the Stearns Road Interchange which is incorporated into <br />the construction plans for I-480. Mr. Wilamosky moved far adoption, seconded by <br />Mr. Fairfield. Mr. Beaty stated it is the Committee's feeling that this should <br />be defeated: has personally talked to the State and they feel it is a very <br />intrical part of this system and Mr. Beaty personally feels it would create <br />quite a burden on other areas of the City. <br />Roll Call on Motion: Affirmative vote: Boebmer, Fairfield, Wiiamoeky. <br />Negative vote: Beaty, Beringer, Sharpe. 3 Yeas - 3 Nays - L"3~;arh Stated. it is a <br />tie vote. Mr. Boehmer stated he would like to reconsider his vote and vote nay. <br />Mx. Wilan~sky referred to rule prohibiting a council member fro~¢ changing his <br />vote as recorded after the roll call has beset verified and the result declared. <br />Law Director Gareau concu~ed that is a Rule of Council. Law Director Gareau <br />stated because it did not receive a ~aajority vote the motion was defeated because <br />the President Pro Teffi canmot vote twice and the President of Council is not here <br />to break the tie. 3 Yeas - 3 Nays - Motion defeated. Ord. No. 77-27 defeated. <br />Resolution No. 77-43 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution urging the State of Ohio Department of Highways to edits the <br />construction of relocated State Route 252 within the City of Wirth 01~sted. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: <br />Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Res. <br />No. 77-43 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 77-44 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance grantiag rights to the Ohio Pipe and Supply Company for the installation <br />and maintenance of a natural gas transmission line to be located within the City <br />right-of-way in the City of North Olmsted. Mr. Boehmer moved for adoption, <br />seconded by Mrs. Sharpe. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boshmex, Sharpe., Wilaa~osky. <br />Negative vote: Fairfield, Saringer. 4 Yeas - 2 Nays - Motioa carried. Ord. No. <br />77-44 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 77-45 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its third reading. <br />A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise far hide for <br />walkie talkies for the Police Department of the City of North Ohssted, aid <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Boehmer moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Beaty. <br />Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehreer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, Wlar~osky. <br />Motion carried. Res.
