<br />~. <br />.-10- <br />Council :rlinutes of 1-18-71 <br />for the Pack if the C1ty will supply them with $700. ~oorCtr of lumber. Mr. <br />West said the Recreation Commission or Recreation Committee could consider <br />this. Mr. Wilamosky requested Mr. West, Council Rep on Recreation Comci.ssion <br />to bring it before the Commission and ask if the Cc~eiason would care to <br />finance the $700. Mr. West will do same. <br />Mr. Fairfield brought up another item from Community Council: they volunteered <br />$500. for a speaker eyate~ to go on the sew bandstand and this is only part of <br />it - the more involved part would be about $l5{1Q. that Comity Council will <br />try to get from organizations in the City. They question if there is sosm way <br />the City could put this equpSwut up and take it down and store it, and yet <br />have it remain the property of the C+nity Council. President Lampert Stated <br />that was put into the Recreation Committee. Service Director Caster Said he <br />had been approached on the Subject and he said it would be no probha. <br />Mr. Fairfield referred to the possibility of a contest for a seat fQr the City. <br />Discussion ensued. President Laapert and Mr. 'West referred to the motion of <br />Council made in November with respect to the contest, to be sponsored by Corgiunity <br />Council. <br />President Lampert announced two Special Council Meetings; subject to be <br />considered will be the flat rate ordinance; dates of Special Council Meetaags <br />will be January 24, 1977, 8:00 P.M., City Hall; and January 31, 1977, 8:80 P.M. <br />City Ball. <br />President Lampert referred coaamunacation from County Ccr~assioners on pedestrian <br />crossings with respect to invalids into Mr. Boehmer's Committee. <br />Mr. West moved for adjournment, seconded by P4r. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, <br />Boehmer, Fairfield, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky.
