Mr. Wilamosky requested Mr. West, Council Rep on Recreation Comci.ssion to bring it before the Commission and ask if the Cc~eiason would care to finance the $700. Mr. West will do same. Mr. Fairfield brought up another item from Community Council: they volunteered $500. for a speaker eyate~ to go on the sew bandstand and this is only part of it - the more involved part would be about $l5{1Q. that Comity Council will try to get from organizations in the City. They question if there is sosm way the City could put this equpSwut up and take it down and store it, and yet have it remain the property of the C+nity Council. President Lampert Stated that was put into the Recreation Committee. Service Director Caster Said he had been approached on the Subject and he said it would be no probha. Mr. Fairfield referred to the possibility of a contest for a seat fQr the City. Discussion ensued. President Laapert and Mr. 'West referred to the motion of Council made in November with respect to the contest, to be sponsored by Corgiunity Council. President Lampert announced two Special Council Meetings; subject to be considered will be the flat rate ordinance; dates of Special Council Meetaags will be January 24, 1977, 8:00 P.M., City Hall; and January 31, 1977, 8:80 P.M. City Ball. President Lampert referred coaamunacation from County Ccr~assioners on pedestrian crossings with respect to invalids into Mr. Boehmer's Committee. Mr. West moved for adjournment, seconded by P4r. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Beringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
