<br />4) Turn Lane at Clague & Lorain Rds. Have been try3.ng to negotiate with the County,
<br />however, it does not appear in the too near future that we will to able to come to
<br />an agreement. In the meantime, had requested the Engineer for his opinion and he
<br />has said it may be possible to make the drainage acceptable for te~orary widening
<br />of the intersection until such time as the County's permanent widening is carried
<br />out;
<br />S) Mrs. Saringer requested from the Service Director an up-to-date list of streets
<br />to be resurfaced taking into consideration the 1977 cost factor; also the addition
<br />of a few streets and the deletion of parts of others. Had requested this list be
<br />submitted by January 17th and have not received it. Would like this list within
<br />the next few days;
<br />6) Traffic light at Great Northern BIVd. & Lorain Rd. Would like to request a
<br />resolution urging the State to act on relocation of 252. In the meantime, could
<br />the Transportation Committee look into it to see that the light is snychronized
<br />to allow more cars to turn left at that intersection. Mrs. Saringer has received
<br />gomplaints about cars backing up.
<br />Mr. Beaty stated the Transportation Cammittee has discussed the light at Great
<br />Northern Blvd. & Lorain Rd. and has been working with Safety Director Carnahan
<br />on that problem.
<br />Mr. Fairfield, Chairman Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings, acduled a
<br />~.ecreation Committee Meeting on Januaxy 27, 1977, 8:~ P.M., City Ha11, and
<br />requested Mr. Beauchamp, Mr. Brondex and Finance Director Gerlach to attend;
<br />2) requested a complete financial report on the Rec Center listing everything
<br />in detail as far as salaries paid; expenses and income. Mr. Fairfield stated so
<br />far all we have on the sec Center are estimates of expenses and some of these
<br />expenses are over a year old and thinks we ought to have the actual expenses.
<br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Intra Governmental Relations & Legislation Committee and
<br />Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee, reported Legislation Committee would
<br />like approval of the following appointments:
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved for approval of Mx. Ron Zurawski to Planning Commission to fill
<br />unexpired term of Mr. Freeh, term ending 12/31/79, seconded by Mr. West. Affirma-
<br />tive vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved for approval of Mr. William Gilbert to the Board of Building
<br />Code Appeals, term ending 12/31/81, seconded by Mr. West. Affirmative vote:
<br />Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved for approval of Mr. Chester Remmel to the Board of Zoning Appeals,
<br />term ending 12/31/$1, seconded by Mr. Fairfield. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer,
<br />Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved for approval of Mr. Charles Miner to the Advisory Board of
<br />Depaxtment of Human Resources, term ending 12/31/81, seconded by Mrs. Sharpe.
<br />Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Fairfield, Saringer, Sharpe, West, Wilamosky.
<br />Motion carried.
