Council Minutes of 10-17-78 -1Q- <br />U <br />Under New Business (~Cont'd): <br />Mrs. Sharpe asked Mr. Corrigan what has been done about the lot on Lorain Road must <br />west of the old Christman Florist with regard to the weed situation which she had <br />asked to be investigated two months ago. Mr. Corrigan replied there was a problem in <br />checking the ownership of that lot. Called Kaydar Realty last Friday ascl got a run- <br />around as to who owned the property. That has been the problem. By ordinance, we <br />have to give 15 days notice to the owner of the property. If they fail to cut the <br />weeds, we can go out and cut it ourself. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked Mr. Zurawski about the ditch along the property on Barton Road - <br />debris dug out 9 or 10 weeks ago is still piled along the bank. Also, what can be <br />done about the standing water since the ditch was deepened and widened. Basically <br />the ditch is deeper than the culvert under Barton Road. Mr. Zurawski replied the <br />developer has been notified on several occasions to have the waste material removed <br />from the site. Have had verbal eoasaunicatan with him at least on five occasions <br />and may have to put it in writing. Regarding the standing water in the ditch, <br />there is a problem with the culvert itself. Contractor went lower than he should have. <br />Will keep Mr. Wilamosky informed as to what can be done. <br />Mrs. Sharpe reported an accident at the corner of Brookpark and Great Northern Blvd. <br />which left glass and'debrls on the street. Who is responsible for cleaning it up? <br />Mr. Corrigan said when there is an accident, whoever handles the tow is responsible <br />for cleaning up the debris sad s~-eepixtg up the glass, etc. If no tow is necessary, <br />the Police Department notifies the Service Department if a traffic hazard exists <br />and during regular working hours the Service Department takes care of it. <br />President Pro Tem Wilamosky referred Ordinance No. 78-144 to Safety Committee; <br />Ordinance No. 78-145 to BZD Coma~i.ttee and Planning Commission; <br />Resolution No. 78-146 to Legislatioa Com+rtittee; <br />Resolution No. 78--148 and Resolution No. 78-149 tc Environmental Control Conm~ittee; <br />Resolution No. 78-150 to Finance Committee; and <br />Resolution No. 78-152 to Streets and Drainage Committee. <br />Mr. Boehmer moved to excuse the absence of President Limpert and Councilman 5aringer, <br />seconded by Mr. Logan. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petiigac, Shaxpe, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Boehmer moved for ad3ournmeat, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
