Council Minutes of 10-17-78 -g- <br />LEGISLATION (Cout'd): <br />Resolution No. 78-152 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor to make application to the Cuyahoga <br />County Board of Commissioners for approval to use Cuyahoga County Motor Vehicle <br />$5.00 License Tax Funds for participation with the County in the impravnt of <br />Brookpark Road, and declaring an +esiergency. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Sharpe asked Mr. Logan to reconsider Resolution No. 78-123 and Resolution No. <br />78-124, resolutions accepting for~ecvrdng purposes only the Ashland Petroleum Com~sany <br />Assembly Plat I and II in the City of forth Olmsted. 1~. Logan stated he had negative <br />feelings regarding these proposals but understood from the Law Director that there <br />wasn't anything we could do about this. <br />Mr. Logan moved to reconsider Resolution No. 78-123, seconded by Mrs. Sharpe. <br />Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boeh~r, Logan, Petrigac, Sharpe, Wilamosky. t+btian carried. <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved for adoption, seceded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Heaaty, <br />Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Sharpe,Wilamosky. Motion carried. Resolution No. 78-123 <br />adopted. <br />Mr. Logan moved to reconsider Resolution No. 78-124, seconded by Mr. Boehmer. <br />Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, <br />Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Resolution No. 78-124 <br />adopted. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Sharpe called a meeting of the BZD Committee for Wednesday, October 25, 1978, <br />at 7 :15 P. Pi. <br />Mr. Wilamosky called a meeting of the Finance Coa~.::.'_ttee for Monday, October 23, 1978, <br />at 8:00 P.M. and requested the Mayor and Miss Hilary Morgan be fn attendance. <br />Mrs. Petrigac called a meeting of the Bnvironmental Control Committee for Monday, <br />November 6, 1978, at 7:30 P. M. <br />Mr. Logan announced a Public Hearing on the Senior Citizen Center Project on Wednes- <br />day, October 25, 1978, at 8:00 P.M. at the interim site at the Great Northern <br />Shopping Centex and encouraged the participation of everyone in the comm~snity. <br />Mr. Beaty asker_'. the Service Director to check on a lot on the corner of Kennedy <br />Ridge where solit: sumac bushes have taken over the sidewalk. <br />Mr. Logan discussed with Mr. Zurawski a traffic light at the eastern entrance to <br />Great Northern Mall which seems to function 24 hours a day. Mr. Zurawski stated that <br />this is a semi-actuated signal which currently is not functioning properly. If funds <br />are available, will proceed with repairs. Discussion continued. <br />Mr. Logan also reported a traffic light at the intersection of Porter and Lorain Road <br />which is not functioning properly. Mr. Zurawski said there were many problems with <br />the equipment at this intersection. Discussion continued. <br /> <br />
