Council Minutes of 10-17-78 <br />-8- <br />LEGISLATION (Cont'd}: <br />Resolution No. 78-142 introduced by Mr. Wila~sky was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bide for 2,0 <br />tons of cinders and authorizing the Mayor to ce~ntract for same, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-144 introduced by Mrs. Petra Was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 311.Ob entitled "Play Streets" of Chapter 311 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Ahtrth 0losted entitled "Street Obstructions and <br />Special Uses". <br />Ordinance No. 78-145 introduced by Imo. Wilas~osky was given its first reading. ~ <br />ordinance amending Chapter 1329 of the ?.ottng Code entitled " istratve Provisions' <br />by adding thereto a new Section 1339.04 entitled "Referral to the Architectural <br />Review Board". <br />Resolution No. 78-146 introduced by Mr. Login was given its first reading. A resolu- <br />tion objecting to the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company's request to the <br />P.U.C.0. for a rate increase, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-147 intrnduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus persons]. property ow~aad by the City of <br />North Olmsted and previously used by the Departaent of Public Services. 1Kr. Boet~ar <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, seconded by Mr. Logan. Roll <br />call on motion: Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Sharpe. <br />Negative vote: Wilamosky. 5 Ayes - 1 Nay - I~btion carried. Mr. Boet~er moved for <br />adoption, seconded by Mr. Logan. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Wigan, Petrigac, <br />Sharpe, Wilaaosky. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 78-147 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 78-148 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac *.~as given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public SeL~.<ce to advertise for bids for <br />one (1) 3500 C.P.M. aireation tank blower to be used in the Treataent Plant, and <br />authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 78-149 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing !mt Director o€ Public Service to advertise for bids for one <br />(1) electronic flow roister for the Esther Road sanitary sewer line, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 78-150 introduced by Mr. Boehmer was gluten its first reading. A <br />resolution aut?ti,~ri~aiag the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids for <br />five (5) new police cars, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Logan commented that as he recoamaended earlier, Mx. Boehsmer's coameittee could <br />look at Resolution too. 7~8*-150 and perhaps reduce it fra~a five to four new police <br />cars and use the extra dollars to supplement Ordinance No. T8-134. <br />Mr. Boehmer stated that at this fleas he did not think Council should do this. These <br />new police cars are very badly needled and by the time we get them next year, the old <br />ones will be pretty well worn out. <br />President Pro Tem Wilamosky said he would refer this to the proper comaei.ttee. <br />
