Council Minutes of 7-5-78 -6_ <br />Ordinance No. 78-94 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the aaendment of the Zone Map of the City of ibrth Olmsted, <br />which Zone Map is part of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted, by changing <br />the premises hereinafter described from Class A High Rise Residential District to <br />General Retail Business District. <br />Resolution No. 7$-95 intr~uced by Mr. Logan was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorising the Di,ractor of Pablic Safety to advertise for bids far <br />the repair of the roof of tie Recreation Canter Complex, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Logan moved for suspensie~n of rule Wiring three separate readimgs, seconded <br />by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative note: Deaty, r, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Serge, <br />Wilamosky. Mr. Logan moved fcer adoptioct, seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affiz~eativs vote: <br />Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />Res. No. 78-95 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-96 wan introduced by Mr. Kogan and gives its first reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for tore su'~eissioa to the electors of the City of North Olmsted <br />of proposed aaeendmenta to the Charter of the City of forth Olmsted relating to the <br />election of successors in the evr~t of vacancies in the office of Mayor, Director <br />of Law, Director of Finance and Caiaecil, awl declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 78-97 was intro~ced by Mr. Boehmer. An Ordinance a~aending Section <br />1713.03 of Chapter 1713 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />entitled "Blasting" and declaring an enet~recy. Mr. Boehmer moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three esp~e~e readies, sscoaded by Mr. Wi~.amosky. Affirasetive <br />vote : Beaty, Boehmer, Lw~ea, Psrtr~c, Seer, Sharpe, Wilaaosky. Mr. Boebarer <br />moved for adaptinn, ass by fir. iiilanc-sky. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehser, <br />Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, ~earpe, lf3.lamosky. Motion carried. Ord. Na. 78-97 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 7&-98 was introduced by Mrs. Beringer. An Ordinance accepting an <br />easement for the inatallatioa amd maintenance of a water main for the purpose of <br />supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to the Atlantic & Pacific Tea <br />Company (A6P). President Limpert referred same into Streets b Drainage Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 78-99 was introduced by Mrs. Petrigac and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance designating and adapting an official city seal for the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Logan referred to request of Council to the State of Ohio to reduce the speed <br />limit on Brookpark Road from 5O to 35 mph, its satire length from the eastern <br />corporate Limit west to Lorain &~ad, under Res. No. 78-18; also, the exten~cive <br />survey completed by our 8t~aesring Department which was submitted back to ODOT. <br />Mr. Logan talked today to a nusber of people in ODOT who rrted to Mr. Logan that <br />Mr. Thomas Krell, Deputy Director District 12, through bin department has recoeesended <br />reduction of the speed Limit on Dre~a~icpark Rd. from Columbia &cl. t to Lorain Rd. <br />from 50 mph to 40 mph, and ueeintais a SO m@b speed limit from Columbia Rd. east to <br />the eastern corporate limit. Obis is :not official at this point; however it was <br />indicated to Mr. Logan that this is about a 99X probability at this paint. However, <br />Mr. Logan would appreciate anyone coasced to do what Mr. Lo$e~t is ping to do and <br />lobby for a reduction of tl~e speed licit to 40 ~h for the entire length of <br />Broakpark Road, stating remtsona therefor. Mr. Beaty commented that the cut-off at <br />Columbia Rd. was mat he had originally requested. <br /> <br />
