Mr. Wilamosky discussed the subject of Oriug Drive, and requested consideration of a Committee of Council to retve~- amd look into some final determination -either to vacate Ehcing Drive or g3ee soswe consie~rstion to sell that particular parcel with deed restrictions forbidding the future sale of that for roadway purposes, if that is Council's intent. Mr. Wilaoasky referred to theabvelopment in Westlake and feels it may have a dramatic effect on the City of North Olmsted with respect to increased traffic flow 1n the area of gorest Ridge Subdivision and Laming Drive. Discussion ensued. President Lirwpert coeoeated the City Engineer reported out on this; as well as the Bui].diag, Zoalaag b Develop~:nt Committee of Council, who reviewed this for sometiare. Further, we have streets now that are overflowing with traffic and in looking out far the welfare of the citizens you must bear in mind that there are citizens of North Opted livfng on streets now thaat are overburdened with traffic. acs. Committee, and his opinion has not chas3gsd. Copy of his resport will be distributed to Council. Discussion continued. Mayor Swietyniowski thanked the Jaycees for excellent job they did regarding the fireworks display. Mayor Swietyniowski thanked Councilmetn Boer for all of the assistance he gave the Recreation Department, Recreation C on and Safety Department with respect to lighting for the NOSO tournament - eve~•is happy for the lighting at the park. Under New Business: Mr. Beaty moved Council direct the Law~~-Director to sue the appropriate contractor and/or architects for either the res~a±r g+~per installation of the Rec Complex roof or costs thereof, secos~ed b Iht. t~oskp; Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Ta~asky. lotion carried. Mr. Boehmer requested a Council as a hole ms®ting on July 11, 1978, 7:30 P.M., City Ha11, and requested attendance of the Mayor, Safety Director, Service Director and City Engineer. Mrs. Saringer scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting on July 18, 1978, 7:15 P.M., City Mall, to discuss Ord. No.78-98, so that it may have its second reading at Council Meeting on July 18th.
