Council Minutes of 6-7-78 -~_ <br />has had reason for reconsideration as has Mrs. Fetrigac: Mr. Mogan has not had a <br />chance pet to talk to Kr. Boetaver. ~fa+revar, in light of a nu~er of outside farces <br />not the least of which is the failure of many levies not only in this area but <br />nationwide, also Proposition 13 in California, Co~i.ttee is going to reconsider <br />recoasendation and scl~t another meeting; <br />2) rsatuded everyone of the Public wring oa June 13, 1978, 7:30 P.H., Comity <br />Cabin which will relates to the function and design of the Senior Citiaens Center <br />and will appreciate patticipation from as many pa:ople as possible. <br />Mrs. Sbatxpe, Chairo4an Building, Zaoiag ~ DRVelopas:nt Committee, scheduled a <br />B.Z.ttII~~ Committee Meeting for Jule l4, 1978, 7:15 P.M., City Hall. <br />Letters, Communications: <br />Mr. Wilamosky presented to Cau~rcl petitions received by him from his constituents <br />containing oven 3O0 signatures rs+questing the Administration and City Council take <br />immediate action for the installation of a traffic control signal at intersection <br />of Lorain Rd, and Christman Drive. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Jahn Igtl©nep, 24?$2 Arlington Lane, addressed Council with respect to traffic <br />problems on Lorain Rd. and Calumbis Rd. and suggestions to ease congmstion; <br />what is the date, time and location for July 4th fireworks; also discussed the <br />North Olmsted Soccer Organisaticar international tournament on Julp 1st - 3rd. <br />All subjects were discussed by Council and Administration. <br />Mr. Henry Reichel, 5654 Colu~ia Road, addressed Council with respect to cutting <br />grass and weeds at ditch near his property. Discussion ensued. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 78-17 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmmted <br />to provide for the installation of a traffic signal :~t the intersection of Decker <br />& Lorain Roads. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. Logan. Mr. <br />Beaty questioned if there was a~ora$y for this. Hr Wilamosky explained that Mr. Logan <br />had also questioned this; and the Finance Committee was going to review it with the <br />Administration and it was the general consensus of Co~nittee that the Cos~ti.ttee would <br />report to Council based on their findinga- with respect to financing and availability <br />of the installation. Mr. Hearty stated 3m his opinion there is no justification <br />for the light and stated reasons therefor. Mr. Wilaaiosky stated reasons why he <br />feels the traffic signal is justified and warranted. Discussion ensued. Mr. Beaty <br />commented that Westview ~ Lorain Rds. is a dangerous area. Discussion continued <br />with Safety Director Petre, Mr. Beaty and Mr. Wila~aky. <br />Mr. Beaty moved to table Ord. No. 78-17, seconded by Mrs. Petrigac. Affirmative <br />vote: Beaty, Petrigac. Negative vote: Boehmer, Logan, Sharpe, Wilawosky. Lotion <br />defeated. <br />Roll Call on Motion to adopt Ord. No, 78-17: Affiraattive vote: Boehmer, Logan, <br />Petrigac, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Beaty. 5 Yeas - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Ord, No. 78-17 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-47 introduced by Mrs. Sharpe was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the arasn~ant of the Zane Map of the City of North Olssted, <br />which Zone Hap is part of the Zoning Code of the City of North Onisted, by chasag~ng <br />~.~ <br />
