Council Minutes of 5-16-78 -14- Mrs. Sariager stated she would like to clarify her position on the salary increase for the Clerk of Council. Mrs. Beringer stated she was net per se objecting to the range; however, the way it was discussed with the aug~estion of $1700. raise Mrs. Beringer felt that was a little too much. Mrs. wringer stat+®d she is in favor of a well-desersed salary increase. Howivwer, did sot feel that that amount of an increase was necessary alI at once and that is why it turned out the way it did. Under New Business: President Lampert called for a Spacial Council Me+etiag on May 22, 1978, 7:34 P.M., City Hall, fo~c consideration of the following hear: Mackensis Road i~rovement, and the Mayor's appointments to the Raard of Zoning Appeals. President Liwp-ert referred Mayor's a~pc-intaeuts into Legislation Committee to review and report out before Special Council Meeting. President Lampert read vacation fro~a Mrs. Bill advising Council that a Public Hearing will be held with respect to the uses of General Revenue Sharing Funds an May 24, 1978, 7:30 P.M., City Hall. Mr. Beaty asked Service Director Corrigan. to furnish Council with inforaation sometime itt the future on a cvaparison of casts with respect to a private contractor to do our garbage pickup. Service Director Corrigan gave his comaents. The requested information will be made available. Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Cou~ittee Meeting an May 22, 1978, 8:04 P.M., City Hall, and requested attendance of Service Director Corrigan; and sel~duled a Long Range Planning Coasittee Meeting on May 22, 1978, 8:313 P.M., City Hall, and requested attendance of Service Director Corrigan and asked that t~ Service Mrector have the necessary information with respect to long range estislates on the Service Department equipmeut needs. Mr. Boehmer moved for adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Beringer. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Sari~er, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
