Coariti.ttee has no objections and Ord. No. 78-46 <br />is oa first reading; <br />Committee also discussed the rsaconing of the parcel that was split aff from <br />Butternut Ridge parcel from residential tv ctnrsrctal to be treed exclusively <br />for parking and will make the caerwercial line continuous. Ord. No. 78-47 is <br />on fir^t reading tonight. <br />President Limpert made following arrnotsc t: Res. No. 78-24 has bey removed <br />from Agenda and an emergency clause has best added to Ord. No. 7$-45 which will <br />be passed under suspension of rules tonight. <br />Letters, Communications: <br />Mayor Swietyniowski read letter addressed to ham from City of Ric~ond Heights <br />which stated that on March 28, 1978, the Rl.chtwnd Heights City Council passed a <br />resolution to stop the burial of nuclear wastes in Ohio. The City Councils of <br />Lakewood and Shaker Heights h~-e a],~ready passed similar resolutions. Letter r~uested <br />a similar resolution from North OL~usted City Council so the State Governmeaat knows <br />that communities are strongly oppbe~ed to this idea. Mayor Swiatynioaski referred <br />same to Environmental Contrnl Comstittee, with the suggestion that this should be <br />acted upon as soon as possible. <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mr. Paul Farkas, 4505 Columbia Road, addressed Council and Administration with <br />respect to the Community Development Block Grant Ftnids and the Senior Center <br />proposal. Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mrs. Sokol, 4909 Porter Rd., addressed Covacil an the following: flooded <br />conditions at Porter & Mi11 Rds. - preser-ted pictures; the widening of Bassett <br />Rd. in Westlake - gave reasons for her fear of heavy traffic in North Opted. <br />Mr. Jim Supple, Chairman Bus Drivers Gommittee of North Olmsted Bus Line, <br />addressed Council regarding request for a meeting with the Administration <br />regarding future of the bus line. Discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Bob Parry, 27150 Butternut Ridge Rd., addressed Council with respect to <br />Ord. No. 78-46 and Ord. No. 78-47 and requested Council seriously consider <br />the rezoning stating reasons therefor. <br />Mr. Adam Sukalski, 4480 Columbia Rd., addressed Council with respect to following: <br />flooding conditions on Columbia Rd., cracked condition of panitary sewer in front <br />of his house; storm sewers backing up. Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />Mr. Edward Rybnicek, 4587 Georgette, addressed Council with respect to condition <br />of Michael Drive, in particular the cracked concrete. Lengthy discussion ensued. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 78-29 introduced by Mr. Baehmer was given its third reading. An <br />emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North 0lsmted, Cuyahoga Comity, Ohio, <br />in the matter of the hereinafter described i~ravement, ender the supezvisian of <br />the Director of Transpoxtation. Mr. Boeh+arer fnowed for adoption, seconded by <br />Mrs. Beringer. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, <br />Wilamosky. Motion carried. Ord.
