<br />3) the Recreation Complex Advisory Board will have an exhibit at the Sportsman's
<br />Show at Public Hall from March 10 thru 19. The Advisory Board msa~b+ers will man
<br />the boothspace and pass out telex literature and eose Erse passes. The
<br />objective of their participation in the Sportsmen's Show is awareness throughout
<br />Northeastern Ohio particularly;
<br />4) the Advisory Board voted to undertake the project "Stairways Upward" which will
<br />cost an estimated $3,000. and will provide the Headed stairs to the second floor
<br />of the Complex. This project will be fua~sd through the sale of $1.00 coupons.
<br />Mrs. Beringer, Chai.rmaa Streets & Drainage Committee, reported Committee meeting
<br />was held February 27, 1978. Presa~nt ware Coms~ittee Ms~ers, Mayor, City B~neer, c
<br />Council Fresida~nt and Service Director. Under discussion was Ord. No. 78-29 rich
<br />is on agenda this evening, far the resurfacing of Lorain Rd., curb lane, both
<br />directions, bctween SR-17 and the North Olmsted east corporation limit, and SR-252
<br />between the North Olmsted south corporation limit and SA-17. Also the shoulders
<br />will be reconditioned by doing shoulder preparation and placing an asphalt concrete
<br />shoulder wedge course. Cost - $18,300 plus $880. for utility ream is for a
<br />total of $19,180. City pays 20X of the cost. There was discussion as to whether
<br />it would be possible and more practical to resurface the entire width of Lorain
<br />instead of just the curb lanes in the eastern section. The Mayor was going to
<br />check into it to see if the State would be agreeable and what the cost would be.
<br />Mrs. Petrigac, Chaim Environmental Control Committee, stt:ted there is a
<br />Committee Meeting tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m., on the noise ordinance.
<br />Mr. Boehasr, Chaixman Public Safety, Nsa].th 6 Welfare Committee, and Transgortation
<br />Committee, reported Safety Committee mat March 6, 1978 and discussed following
<br />liquor applications:
<br />1) C-1 nand C-2 transfer application frcna 'Ptodore Rizk dba Rizk Pine Tree Beverage
<br />to Sohn Gusso, dba Pine Tree ~3everage, 23239 Lorain Rd., and Committee has no
<br />objections:
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council does not obj-act to C-1 and C-2 transfer application to
<br />Pine Tree Bevexage, 23239 Lorain Rd,, seconded by Mr. Beaty: Affirmative vote:
<br />Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamoaky. Motion carried.
<br />2) C-1 and C-Z transfer application to Convenient Food Mart, Inc., dba Convenient
<br />Food Mart, 23555 Lorain Rd., and Committee has no objections:
<br />Mr. Boehmer.moved Council does not object to C- 1 and C-2 transfer application
<br />to Convenient Food Mart, 23555 Lorain Rd., seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative
<br />vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
<br />3) four liquor applications for C-1 permit to Consolidated Foods Corporation, dba
<br />Lawson Milk Company at 23789 Lorain Rci., 4'9b7 Dover Center Rd., 25766 Lorain Rd.,
<br />and 29603 Lorain Rd., and Goma-ittee has no objections. Mr. Boehmer explained C-1
<br />permit is for low powered beer and these stores alxeady have C-2 permit and Mr.
<br />Boehmer explained the C-2 permit.
<br />Mr. Boehmer moved Council does not object to the applications for a C-1 permit to
<br />Consolidated Foods Corporation, dba Lawson Milk Company at above mentioned locations,
<br />seconded by Mr. Logan. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, Petrigac,
<br />Beringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried.
