Council Minutes of 2-7-78 -10- <br />Finance Director Brockman requested Council not to suspend the rule and possibly <br />pass it on eme$ency at next Council Meeting with compaction legislation for the <br />Finance Departasnt. Mayor stated if it is Council's desire to gait ~-til that <br />point it is fine with him. Mr. Wilamosky stated he would like to undertake a <br />little more of s study of this in conjunction with the organizatia-nal chest of <br />the Finance Dspartment. Ord. Imo. 78 19 was given its. first reading. <br />Resolution Iio. 78-20 was iatrod~toad by Mr. i~tfaa~a~ty. A Resolution authorising the <br />Director of Public Service to advertise fox bide for the purcbaaa of two eight-foot <br />snow plow blai sad too ten-foot aa~+- p)ow blades together with hitch~ag apparatus, <br />and declaring emergency. A Resolution authorising Che <br />Director of Public Service to adwrtiae far bids for a gorator used in the Sewage <br />Treatment Plant and authorizing the Mayan to contract for same and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Wilamoaky moi for susesion of rule requiring three separate <br />readings, seconded by Mrs. Saringer.. Affrtrative vote; Beaty, Boe~sx, Logan, <br />Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, t~il+imosky. Mr. Wlamosky moved for adoption, seconded <br />by Mrs. Saringer. Affirastive ore: Beaty, Boeharer, Log~sn, Fetrigac, Saringer, <br />Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. Res. No. 78-22 adopted. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky referred to legislation to provide for stop signs at Southern & <br />Burns Rds. which was passed Heceadter 6, 1977. Mr. Wilamosky requested Safety <br />Director Petre to take immediate action to have the signs installed. <br />Mr. Wilamosky referred to the house oz- Fitch Rd. that was going to be moved the <br />week of January 16th or the week thereafter. The house is still there and Mr. <br />Wilamoakq asked Safety Director Fetra when that house; will be moved. Safety <br />Director Petre referred to weather conditions that have prevailed -house to be <br />moved when weather breaks. Mr. iiilsky asked Safety Director Petre to check <br />into a house which is the last house on the east side of Burns Rd.at Santhe~r:e. <br />The Building Dd!partment condemned it in October, 1977. Would like to knew why the <br />house is still standing. <br />Mr. Beaty asked Service Director Corrigaa 1f a revision to the legislation for <br />private snow contractors has been done. Service Director Corrigan discussed same. <br />Mr. Boehmer referred to plans for modernizing Council Chambers and asked for input <br />from Council Mad~ers. Mr. Bower stated reasons why he is in favor of modernization. <br />Mrs. Saringer stated reasons why sheds not in favor of remodeling at this tune. <br />Mr. Beaty, Mr. Logan, Mrs. Sharpe and Mr. Wilamosky also gave their views. Tt was <br />determined that the majority of Council does not want to do remodeling at this time. <br />
