Council. _Minute.a of 2-7-78 _q_ <br />Ordinance No. 78-15 was introduced by Mr. Boehmer. An Ordinance establishing <br />coapensation to be geld to the employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Boehmer moved for suspension of rule <br />requiring three separate readings, seconded by Mrs. Beringer. No. 78-15 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-16 was introduced by Mr. Boah~r.r and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance smret~fng the traffic control and file of the City of Ne~rth Olmsted <br />to provide for the installation of a traffic control signal on Lorain Bcrad at the <br />ingress and egress drive of the North Olested Recreation Center. <br />Ordinance No. 78-17 was introduced by Mr. Wilamvsky and given its first reading. <br />An Ordinance amending the traffic cc-ntro ~ and file of the City of North alwsted to <br />provide for the installation of a~traffic signal at the intersection of Decker and <br />Lorain Roads. <br />Resolution No. 78-18 was introduced by Mr. Logan. A Resolution requesting the <br />Director of Highways of the State of fyhio to determine and declare the reasonable <br />and safe prise facie speed lini.t on Brookpark Bc-ed (State Route 17j from the eastern <br />corporate limit rest to Lorain {State Roerte 1Oj at 35 miles per hour, and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Lome sowed fos suspension of rule rewiring three <br />separate readings, seconded by Mr. Boeha~er. Mr. Logan, Mr. Beaty, Safety Director Petra discussed the <br />legislation at length. <br />Roll Call on Motion: Affirmative vote: Boehmar, Logan, Petrigac, Sarizs$er, Sharpe, <br />Wilamosky. Negative vote: Beaty. Mr. Logan moved for adoption, seconded by Mr. <br />Boehmer. Affirmative vote: Boehser, Logan, Petrigac, Beringer, Sharpe, Wilsky. <br />Negative vote: Beaty. 6 Yeas - 1 Nay -Motion carried. Res. No. 78-18 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 78-19 was introduced by Mayor 9wletyaiawski and regceestait suspension <br />of rule requiring three separate roadinype.. P~tesident Lspsrt asked if Council <br />should take the opportunity to revieas this.#y putting it an first reading tonight <br />and pass sae~e as emergency next meet3.xtg. Mayor stated that is up to Council he <br />is anxious to sea the legislation go into effect. Discussion ensued. Mrs. Petrigac <br />asked if the l~inaace Departremr:t wan properly staffed and asked Finance Director <br />Brockman to comssnt on the ordinance. lpinance Director Brockae~e gave his comments: <br />Finance Director Brockman has trio objections to this ordinance being paassed and <br />is effect tonight -one is that he will have tv lay off 8 clerk in the Finance <br />Department tomorrow as the clerk is being classified as an income tax clerk. The <br />other objection is this is a new department and the money has not been agpTOpriated. <br />
