Council Minutes of 2--7-~'8 _7_ <br />5)Service Director advised Co~3,ttee that the Service Dept. is not going to accept <br />the snow blades but that he was going to recommend to the Board of Control not to <br />accept same; <br />6) Committee recommends that Res. Nos. 78-20, 78-21 and 78-22 be adopted under <br />suspension of rules; <br />7) Committee also recommends Ord. No. 78-14 be adopted - due to the ,large number <br />of unpaid invoices from 1977 it is necessary to appropriate additional funds until <br />such time as the permanent appropriation ordinance is adopted; <br />8) Committee discussed the compensetion and salary ranges of the administrative <br />personnel of the bus line and G+titt~e recoaa~endations have beep incorporated into <br />Ord. No. 78-15 on Agenda. Mr. Wilampsky explained how the Finance Committee <br />arrived at their recommendations in salary xanges. <br />Mr. Boehmer asked Mr. Wilamosky if his Committee is going to meet with Council as <br />a Whole to ascertain what monies we will have to spend this year as far as number' <br />of police and firemen, equipe~nt, etc. Mr. Wilamosky explained he is waiting for <br />the balance of appropriations as of 1/31178. After Committee reviews same they <br />will know more regarding what the financial status is. <br />President Limpert asked :Mr. Wilamosky if he has plans to discuss the organizatignal <br />chart of the Finance Department in the near future as there was not adequate time <br />to discuss same at last Finance Comstl.ttee feting. Mr. Wilasesky explained the <br />meeting was not over until 12:30 a.m. and Mr. Wilamosky will be scheduling a <br />Finance Committee meeting under New Business to discuss the organizational chart <br />with Finance Director Brockman. <br />Mr. Logan, Chairman Recreation, Public Perks & Buildings Comtai.ttee, reported <br />Committee held a public meeting on February 4, 1978. In attendance, in addition <br />to the Committee were President Limpert, Mayor Swietyniowski, Safety Director <br />Petre and Rec Complex Manager Brondsr. ire were approximately SO people in <br />attendance.. One area discus~se~d was recommendation for change wherein a handicapped <br />person might more easily get access to the Complex. Mr. Logan gave examples. <br />Promotion of th+e Recreation Complex was discussed; also the future of the Complex <br />with respect to the second floor, etc. Committee will, at a later date, get into <br />more specifics. <br />Mrs. Sharpe, Chairman Building, Zoning & Aevelopment Committee, reported <br />Committee met 3anuary 25, 1978, and reviewed following: <br />1) Waldo Nursery addition and improvement plans and Committee has no objections: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve the Waldo Nursery addition and improvement plans, <br />seconded by Mr. Logan. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Baehmer, Logan, Petrigac, <br />Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />2) storage building of Dr. Davis, D.V.M., behind Great Northern Shopping Center <br />and Committee has no objections: <br />Mrs. Sharpe moved Council approve the modernization of the storage building of <br />Dr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Beaty. Affirmative vote: Beaty, Boehmer, Logan, <br />Petrigac, Saringer, Sharpe, Wilamosky. Motion carried. <br />3) Committee discussed the A&P Plans at this meeting and it was decided that the <br />plans ~o not violate any ordiances of the City - it meets all of the Zoning and <br />building codes and Committee was going to recommend approval. Committee did <br />recommend approval at a Special Meeting of the Council on January 25, 1978, follow- <br />ing the B. Z. & D. Committee meeting of that date; <br />i. <br />i <br />
