I an Saturday and Sundaq, from 1 to 4 Y.M. Coaaittee <br />discussed Ordinaiace Nos. $2-126 and 82-127 which provide fer traffic sivaltsation in <br />the Great Northera Shopping Centez area, cm Ccauntr,y Club Haulevard, at t'ho seeond <br />driveway west of the Great tdarthern Boulevard intersection. After mch diseussion, <br />Coamittee decided to ailow this legislatiaa to go on second reading tanigtt and then <br />put it on hold until a traffic study report ia received froYa Great 1Qorthern Faxtner- <br />ship°s traffic cansultant, 3ackman and Associatee. <br />2) Commf.ttee also discetsead the Clngve and Lorain Road intersectfvn. Trsffic light <br />has been adjusted to alltaw mor+e "gremmn" tise for nrorthbouad and scuthbouad traffic <br />on Clague Road. The real answer to tte congestion at this inters+et3on ssess te be <br />widening of Clague R+oad, especiallq coning frcn the south; w3dettiug to amininum of <br />30 feet wi11 be accomplished next year vrhen Clague Road is re ructed. In the <br />meantin?e, Ordfaance No. 32-144, prahfb#„ttng left hand turns vtzCe Lorain between <br />4 P.M. and 6 P.lyi., fxam rorthbawnd Glagm Road traffic, is an the agenda tonight. <br />This is the least attractiee plstt to proroide a soiution to the problem and will be <br />carefullq considered bq the Transportatioa Comfttee. <br />Mrs. Petrigac, ChafrmaA Long Ra2tge Plamftg Comittee reported: 1) Reminded Council <br />that there will be a neet#aag with ropi4ots and Piauning ComieEslm on Tmsday night, <br />October 12th, at 8 P.M., to discuss 1andscapfng at the propased Adofufstration Complea. <br />Mr. tdaerpel, Chairman Building, Zoning md Development Cammittee regorted: i) BZD <br />Committee met on Thursdaq, September 23rd with al.l nembers and Preeident &aehmer in <br />attendaace. Building ConsgisBioner Gunday preaented the fo11awing siss: <br />(a) Gray Drug Storea, 29047 and 23359 Lorain Road, wall and pole signs <br />at both locations; approved by A.RB and Planning Casmiseion; Committea re: ais <br />_ approval. A4r. Woerpel moved Council apgrove sald signs, second by 1Kr. Bierman, <br />unanimous ly approved. <br />(b) G and G Supplp Companq, 26747 Brookpark Exteaaion, wail sign <br />(actually a facia replaceamt); agproved bq ARB and Planning Cammiasipn with the <br />condition that the sign uot estend a'bove the ard; Comittee recommends spproval <br />with that coadition.
