In the paat, differenC <br />nrganizations have decided to make additians in the parks and have done so. 7'he <br />Rec Comm,ission feels that any improvements should ecrme before the Commission. If <br />the improvements are turned c'town, then ark apgtal would be mde to Cou€tci1. <br />4) Safety Committee has no objectican to a A1 permit for ;A xevexage, Inc,, at <br />Great Northern, and Mr. McKay moved that Council have no tib3ecti,on to ssi:d lfquor <br />pernnit, secanded by Mr. Woexpel. <br />Mrs. Petri$ac etated that it wae her underatanding that this permit was appl.ied for <br />in order that l.ittle tastes of wine could be aerved. If this is the case, then Rampe, <br />Rini's, beverage stores or any other plaee that se:lls wiue to go, caald ask for a <br />similar DI classificatioa. What would keep everyane from having auch a license. <br />Mr. McKay etated that anyone cauld make ouC an applicatioa for a permit, however, <br />the:"-r chara;e of gettiag aame would depeiad on whether the area had reached a sstuxatiort <br />point or i£ the area had been voted dry. Mr. Lagae commented that just because they <br />had requa:.sted a D1 permit to taste wine an the premises, it did ntot in any way abridge <br />their legal right ta fullp use that D1 licenee in aay way, shape vr foxm in which <br />they choee. <br />Roll call on motion that CounciZ not o6ject ta a D1 liquor permit for A Beverage, Inc., <br />at Great Northerno Affirmative vate: Bierman, McKap, Saringer, Wilauosky. Mc,Kay to sead him a copp of the Recreation Cammission's pra- <br />posed budget now under diacussiun, recogaizing that it is still in a diacussion stage. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Ch.sirman Fimance Committee and Streeta and Drainage Committee reported: <br />1) Fixuance Committee met aa February lSth with 4hairman and Member McRay in attend- <br />anee. A1sa present were Couac3lwaman Fetrigae, President Boehmer, :Mapor S,iietyniowski, <br />Director Corrigan and ZYireetor Boqle. Committee discussed Ordinance No, 82-$ with <br />the Administration but doee not have a recommendation at this time. <br />2) Committee discussed w#.th Mr. Boyle the feasibilfty of creatiag antw fuad for the <br />purpose of Capital Equigment Purchases; recammends that Council gfve consideration to <br />the creation of such a fund. Doea nat expect this reconm?endation will be a part of <br />the Mayor's appropriation rec ation ro Council, hcxaever will continue to work on <br />it while reviewing those recoumendatians and malce it a part of any recanmeadation with <br />respect to amendments to the Mayor's recomzaendations. Will expand a little further <br />on this ati the time Committee makes s recamendation for an amendment. <br />3) Discussed the rental payments for the building naw bein$ used far the buaea. <br />• Director Boyle adviaed that he does not have the money to cover this rental; legis- <br />lation is on the agenda tonight - Ordinanee Np. 82-18 - and Committee has no objection. <br />Will be asking £or suspeusion of rule requiring three readings.
