Added a requltsment <br />that merchants musC pay a fee of $3.00; amended legielation wi11 be on agenda for <br />next Council Meeting. <br />2) Conmittee also made ameadments to Ordinance No. 81-136, the Code of Ethics <br />Coaunission; ameacled oxdimance will be an mgenda for next Councii Meeting. <br />3) Committee diecusaed Uxdinaace No. 82-11, on the agenda this evening, aad has no <br />Ol?j@C$ZOAa <br />4) Committee discuesed the recodification; recommend:s Counctl goes with the Juetinian <br />Publishing Comgany whose propoaal was $125 lower than the Wa1ter Drane Coapany. This <br />will incY.ude 140 sets of replaeemeat pages axid 50 extra Traffic, Ceneral Offenses and <br />Fire Prevention Code booklets. <br />5) Committee discussed the banning of gol.itical sigaa. Will be researching this to <br />see what some of the other cities have done; cammi.ttee has made na dec3sion as yet. <br />Mr. Woerpel asked if the Justinian Publislaing Company had indicated how long the re- <br />codification would take. Mrs. Saziiq:ger stated that this was not f,ndicated 3n their <br />proposal. Laj+ Dizector indicated that it ahould take five to six pnonths at the mqst. <br />Mrs. Petrigac, Chairman Long Range P2anMing Committee reported: 1) Committee met on <br />Wednesday, February lOth with Member 3sr3Wr and herself p:esent. Othere in attend- <br />ance were Covnciln?en Bierman, McKay, Wilamoaky and Servfce Director Corrigan. <br />Coninittee discussed the Serv3.ce Garage be3ag moved to where the Bus Garage was. <br />Mr. Corrigan stated the Adm3.a3etrstion m"l.ght prapose rebuilding the Bus Gsrsge. <br />Committee suggested that the Admipistrat3on present some concrete ideas as to the <br />direction they wanted to take. 14syor hsa done so this evening. <br />2} Committee discussed Coe School and the bidd4.ng situat3.on. <br />3) Hopes to abtain informatian from the Cormunitq Develogment Corporation of the <br />City of Lakewood which has an ongaing program whereby they work with existing home <br />owners a.nd businesses in revitalizing the business community asid homes. Zn looking at Ordtnance No. 70-121, it states ""Long Range P],aaaing. <br />This Committee will be responsible for deueloping $zowth e2cpectsace and to foreca8t <br />the requirements for city services and facllities to meet the expected growth" <br />therefore is pleased t'hat President Boehmer has suggested that the Lattg Range Planning <br />Committee be fnw'alved right £rom Che heginning with the plans pre?nted by the Mayor <br />tanight. Feels this is the comiaittee that this all fell irAro ta begin with. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairman Environmental Control Committee and Public Safetq, Health and <br />Welfare Committee reported: 1) Safety Committee met Manday, February 15th with <br />• Counciiman wilamosky, Chief Taylor snd Mr. McKay present. Diecwssed the reeodifica- <br />tion and Chief Taylor requested that SQ copies of the coudensed traffia c.ode be <br />purchased. Committee agrees and feels that oAe copy should be p1oced 3.n each police <br />car asid become part of that vehicle's equtpment; rernaining copies will be placed in <br />the Police Station for replenishing copiea which are damaged or lotat.
