Does not fe+tl that these signe ehould be dfstributed to <br />the merchants, at no cost to them. Hopea the legislation could be amended so that <br />new merchants, or merchants who lose their signs, wou1d hstve to conde in and purchase <br />the signs from the City. <br />2) North Olmsted Recreation Complex wi11 be hoating approximately 30 hockey tesms <br />from around the State of Qhio in the StaCe Finais during the weekend of March Sth, <br />6th, and 7th. Fee3s certain the merchants and retaflers wi11 enjoy the additiansl <br />businees geaerated by this event. <br />Mrs. Saringer, Chairrnan Intra-Gmrernmental Relations and Legielative Committee re- <br />ported: 1) Comittee met January 27th with Mrs. Sas~lager and Mr. Wiiamootcq present; <br />Mr. Bierman abaent. Committee discuaaffid the reappoiutment of John Ramaao to the <br />Landmarlcs Commissioa; teria expired Decemher 31, 1981. Mrs. Sasiager m,oved Cauncil <br />approve the r4appointment of Mr. John Romsno to the LaticfimaY'ks CommiBgiott' seeonded <br />bq Mr. Woerpel, unsnimausly approved. <br />2) Committee discuesed Ordinance No. $1-136, establishffient of Ethica Caxniseian; re- <br />viewed the ordinance and Mr. Woerpel's proposed amendments. Tn regard to including <br />unethical caaduct in the title, had a difficult time com3ng up w#Eh the cri.tesris tha*_. <br />liats unethieal CdAt111Ct and in reviewing the Codified Ordinsnces, felt that Sectisan <br />107.10 and 107.13 dealt with this. Will d3:scuse this st the next meeting. <br />Mrs. Petrigac, Chairman Long Range F1anniAg Committee reported: 1) Committee met <br />briefZy thia evening ta think about reccxa?mendations to be made ta Council as to the <br />directican that should be taken in the event that Coe School should be auetionod again. <br />The Mayor did not hav+e a certified check for $14,000 or caah in tkat amount on his <br />person at tihe cloae of the bidding; this was very explicit in the terrms of bid+d3ng. <br />Since the Mayor requested the aurhoritq to bid, was granCed permission, and then did <br />not do so, Committee recammeade the €ollowing options for Council's consi.deration: <br />(a) repeal (#rdinaaae No. $2-7 and not bid on Coe School at all; (b) chang+e tte ameunt <br />the Mayor was authorized ta bid; (c) Council to let anly three people knaw the amount <br />authortzed to be bid, sur.h ae the F3neace Dfreetor, Chairntan af Pinauce Cc?mmittee, <br />0 and (hairman af Long Ran$e Planning Corm3ttoe; 1etting the Maqor Itncw the amaunt <br />right before biddiag; (d) gutharrixe eaother pereon to bid for the City, such as the <br />Law Director.
