<br />Ordinance No. 83-154 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An ordin-
<br />ance amending Tit1e Seven, entitled "Local Provisions; of Part Thirteen, of the Building
<br />Code of the Codified OrdinsncES of the Citv of North Olmsted, by enacting a new
<br />Chapter 1367, entitled "Regulatian of nish-type SatelZite Signal-Receiving Earth Stations",
<br />and declaring an emergency.
<br />Under Old Business:
<br />Mr. Wilamosky asked for a status report with respect to hospitalization for City employees.
<br />Ma.yor Swietyniowski advised the City will go out for bids before the end of this year.
<br />Mr. McKay moved Council excuse the absence of Pr.esident Roehmer f_rom the Council
<br />Meeting of December 6, 1983, second by Mr. Woerpel, unanimously approved.
<br />Under New Business:
<br />Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting for Wednesday, December 21st,
<br />at 7:30 P.M. and requested the attendance of the Mavor and Finance Director.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky moved Council recess for five minutes, second by Mr. Logan. Affirmative
<br />vote: Logan, McKay, 0'Grady, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Bierman, Woerpel. 4 Aye -
<br />2 Nay - Motion carried. Council recessed at 9:05 P.M. and reconvened at 9:10 P.M.
<br />Mr. Logan discussed the possibility of ending the staggered terms of office, suggested
<br />amending the Charter of the City. Mr. Logan moved Council direct the Presicient of
<br />Council to, on an informal basis, reconvene the 1980 Charter Review Commission, to meet
<br />at their convenience and make a recommendatio.n, or series of recomnendations, to Council,
<br />to solve this very controversial situation, second b_y Mr. ?ailamosky. Roll call on motion:
<br />Affirmative vo,te: Aierman, Logan, McKay, 0'Grady, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Woerpel.
<br />5 Aye - 1 Nay r Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosk.y moved that President Boehmer contact those
<br />former members of the Charter Review Commission, who currently reside in North Olmsted,
<br />and to fulfill, as Mr. Logan indicated,ttie function of an ad hoc, blue ribbon committee,
<br />to provide Council with some input relating to the Charter and the position of staggered
<br />terms, and included in this motion, to also advise those gersons who live outside the
<br />community that there wi11 be these meetings and invite them to attend, if they so choose,
<br />second by Mr. McKay. Roll call on motion: Affirma.tive vote: Bierman, McKay, 0'Grady,
<br />Wilamosky, Woerpel. Negative vote: Logan. S Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried.
<br />Mr. Logan resigned his position as Councilman-at-Large, effective immediately, (9:25 P.M.,
<br />Tuesday, December 20, 1983) in order to assume his responsibilities as Director of the
<br />Office of Budget and Mariagement, and left the Council table.
<br />President Boehmer scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Monday, December 26th, 1983,
<br />at 7:30 P.M., with an agenda to include Ordinance No. 83-144, No. 83-126 and No. 83-150.

<br />at 7:30 P.M., with an agenda to include Ordinance No. 83-126 and No. 83-150.
<br />Mr. Bierman asked that a petition from the owners of the Countr_y Club condominiums,
<br />complaining about the condition of the "strip" behind the Great Northern Shopping Center,
<br />with rubbish piling up, bulldozers and trucks running late at night, etc., be made a
<br />part of the record of this evening's Counci.l Minutes.
<br />There being no further business, presi(ient Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting at
<br />9:30 P.M.
