• Council Minutes of 12/6/83 -3-. <br />Mr. Woerpel, Chairman Building, Zoning and Development Committee reported: 1) BZD <br />Comnnittee met on Thursday, December lst at 7-45 P.M. with all carnmittee members <br />pres.ent. Also present were Building Commissioner Gundy and ?sr. David McDermott of <br />the Fngineering Department. Comtnissioner Gundy nresented the following requests: <br />a. Banc One, 4763 Great Northern Boulevard. Proposal to construct <br />a canopy over an automatic tell..er ma.chine. Unanimousl_y apvroved by Planning <br />Commission on November lOth; Committee recommends apnroval. Mr. Woerpel moved <br />Council approve the proposal to construct a canony as stated herein, second by <br />Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously apnroved. <br />b. Brennan Auto Body, 25044 Lorain Road. Pronosal to construct <br />additions to the body shon and parts store. APproveda with conditions, by Architectural <br />Board of Review on Tlovember 16th and Planning Commission on "dovember 22nd, concurrent <br />with ARB's recommendations. ]3oard of 7.oning Appeals had granted suecial permits for <br />this in June of 1983. Committee recommencls approval. Mr. ?-ioerpel moved Council <br />approve proposal to construct additions as stated herein, second by Mr. Bierman, <br />unanimously approved. <br />2) Mr. Gundy responded to several questions raised by Committee Members, including a <br />report on the signage for Harry's Big and Tall on rreat Pdorthern ?ioulevard. 1'4r. Gundy <br />also reported he would provide a copy of the letter pertaining to the fence at <br />Columbia Square; letter received this evening. Mr. Gundy also reported that certain <br />condemnation proceedings were currently on "hold" pending further investigation. <br />With regard to the f_ence installation at the Hyde Park Condominiums, Council received <br />a copy of a letter to President Boehmer from Attorney Dan Ryan, whic?z stated that this <br />can be resolved by Council indicating in their minutes that the installation is to be <br />completed by December 15, 1983 and that f.ailure to do so would cause thP Prosecutor <br />to proceed with legal action, Mr. Woerpel moved Council spread across its minutes that <br />the installation of fencinQ is to be completed by necember 15, 1983, and failure to <br />do so wi11 mean legal action being taken, seconcl by Mrs. Petrigac, unanimously apnroved. <br />3) Mr. McDermott presented revised plans for the Pheasant Walk Subdivision's final <br />plat, located north of Lorain and east of ?t?ellesley Avenue. Final plat p.lans were <br />approved by Planning Commission and include the recommendations made some months <br />earlier this year by Council, following a B7D Committee Meetin¢ report. A legislative <br />request has been submitted for f.inal vlat plan, for recording purooses only, and <br />hopeful_1_y will_ be on the agenda at the next regular Council Meeting. <br />4) Committee also discussed the provosal presented to Council by ?4r. Sparky DtBenedetto <br />regarding his nroperty on Brookpark Extension. Committee would like more input frnm <br />Planning Commission; do they desire to request snecific legislation, if warranted. <br />iaill report back to Council at next meeting. <br />5) Committee also discussed Ord.inance Plos. 83--124, 83-136, 83--137 and 83-138 and will <br />hold in committee pending recommendations from Planning Commission. <br />Mr. McKay, Chairman Environmental Control Committee as wel_1 as Public Safety, Health <br />and ?aelfare Committee reported: 1) Wednesday, November 16th, the City received a <br />check f.rom the Ohio Department of_ Natural_ Resources in the amount of $13,010, the <br />second payment from the $25,000 litter grant. The first payment was a 25% nayment <br />of $6,250, leaving a balance of $5,740. $100 of this will pay f.or a video tape <br />prepared by West Shore Cable TV7 the remaining $5,640 will be snent on 41 additional <br />litter receptacles, City has spent the entire p,r_ant and there will be no neecl to re- <br />turn any unspent money. Mr; Logan suggestei that Council view the video tape; <br />Mr. McNay wi.Il try to arrange for showing.
