An ordin- <br />ance authorizing the Mayor to contract for the services of a nrofessional City <br />Planner for the purposes of ungrading and modernizing the City Zoning Code. <br />Ordinance No. 83-144 introduced by Mayor Swiet_yniowski was given its f_irst reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mavor to enter into a contract for the denosit of <br />puhlic monies with the instituttons designated bv Council as denositories for the <br />active and interim accounts of the City. <br />Resolution No. 83r145 introduced by Mr. «ilamosky was given its first reading. A <br />resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Rudget Comntission <br />and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certif.ying them to the County Auditor. <br />Resolution No. 83-146 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its f_irst reading. A <br />resolution directing the auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of TTorth <br />Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 1984, all tax money due and owing said City from <br />any collection source. Mr. T•lilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />readings, second by Mr. Logan. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Bierman, <br />Logan, McKay, Wilamosky, 14oerpel. Negative vote : Petrigac. 5 Aye -- 1!`Jay - <br />Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously <br />approved. Resolution No. 83-146 adopted. <br />Qrdinance No. 83--147 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowsic.i was given its first reading. <br />An oxdinance approving a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Federation <br />of State, County and *4unicipal Fmployees in the Public Works Division o£ the Depart- <br />ment of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted, and renealing Ordinance No. <br />81-125, enacted November 4, 1981, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Logan moved for <br />suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Mr. Logan moved for adoption, second bv Mr. Bierman, unanimously aoproved. <br />Ordinance No. 83-147 adopted. <br />Resolution No. $3-148 introduced hy the Mayor and the entire Cauncil was given its <br />first reading. A resolutian commending the pulalic service of Paul J. Gareau. <br />Mr. Logan moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Taoerpel, <br />unanimously apnroved. Mr. Logan moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously <br />approved. Besolution No. 83-148 adopted and read in its entirety by Law Director <br />Gareau. <br />At this point, Councilman Woerpel left Council Chambers; time being 10:00 P.M. <br />Mr. Logan moved to urge all Members of Council to attend all of the Council Meetings <br />between now and the end of the year for the purpose of continuing City business, <br />second by Mr. Wilamosky. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Logan, McKay, <br />Wilamosky. Negative vote: Bierman, Petrigac. 3 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Mr. Logan moved to excuse the absences of Councilpersons Mr. Bierman, Mrs. Petrigac <br />and Mr. 14oerpel fxom the reconvened meeting of rTovember 15th, on the 22nd of November <br />and the 28th of November; also to excuse their absences for December Ist, for a <br />special meeting; and furtiher to excuse Mr. Woerpel's premature exit tonight, December <br />6th, second by Mr. Wilamosky. <br />? Mrs. Petrigac pointed out that she was in attendance at the November 15th meeting <br />as were Councilmen Bierman and tioerpel; the same motion being made by Mr. Logan was <br />already dealt with at the Special Meeting of December 5tfi, and it was defeated.
