w <br />Council Minutes of 11/1/83 -7- <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Bierman asked if the plans for a four lane highway for new Route 252 were <br />finalized. Mayor replied "yes, for four lanes". <br />Mrs. Petrigac pointed out that some time ago the reduction of speed at the curve <br />on Porter Road, close to Mill Road, had been discussed and Mr. Petre had promised <br />to check into the number of accidents in this area; has a determination been made <br />yet. Mr. Petre replied that he is sti11 waiting for information from the Police <br />Department; he is recoamending additional yellow signs warning motorists that there <br />is a dangerous curve ahead. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked for the latest information with respect to advertising for bids <br />for rubbish collection at the condos. Sezvfce Director Corrigan replied that he <br />has consulted with the Law Director and intenfls to go ahead and advertise for bids <br />under the present level of refuse collection provided by the City ordinances. 14hen <br />bids are received, will report back to Council. Collection will not be institured <br />until the first of the year, <br />Mrs. Saringer asked if the street repairs have been completed for this year. <br />Mr. Corrigan repl:ied that same repairs are stf11 underway. If Mrs. Saringer will <br />provide a list of repairs she is interested in, Mrt Corrigan will check the locations, <br />see if these repairs are scheduled and have an answer for Mrs. Saringer in the next <br />day or so. <br />Mr. Woerpel asked Mr. Corrf,gan for a list of all streets scheduled for repair this <br />year; Mr. Corrigan wiil provide such a li,st. <br />Mr. Woerpel asked if an agreement had been reached with Greater Cleveland RTA with <br />regard to the Bus Carage; has the Horth Olmsted lrtunicipal Bus Line moved into the <br />new facility; if not, when might this be expected. Mayor Swietyniowski replied <br />he and Mr. Corrigan had met with RTA; anticipates moving the Bus Line into the new <br />facility soon. <br />Mr. Woerpel also askecl if Mr. Corrigan had any information about a bus shelter at <br />the Med Center. Mr.. Corrigan advised North Olmsted Bus Line management had sub- <br />mitted this location for erection of a bus shelter; this is on hold with RTA until <br />they receive the3r next grant. A shelter has been requested. <br />Mr. Woerpel also cotmqented that back in May or June there had been discussion with <br />people at Timber Trails, what is now Meadowbrook; has this situation been resolved; <br />does not see anything about dedicating those streets. Mr. Corrigan xeplied the City <br />is not dedicating in this area yet. There are still some items of concern. Had a <br />discussion last week witfi the developer and he understands the City's position. Will <br />be setting up a closer liaison to investigate the status of this whole development. <br />Mr. Corrigan is handling this himself. Mr. Woerpel asked if Mr. Corrigan would sub- <br />mit a bxief report, within the next two or three weeks, as to what the status is <br />and what needs to tie done in this development.
