Council Minutes o£ 9/20/83 <br />-5- <br />People addressing Council: <br />Mary Dufala, 4919 Grace Road, and John Dufala, 5012 Grace Road, discussed the <br />planting of trees on the south side of 1-480, near Grace Road. Also what can <br />and cannot be done by the City to get any further action from the State of Ohio. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 82-153 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Director of Public Servide to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of four (4) new automobiles and one (1) new utility vehicle. Mr. McKay <br />moved to table, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 82-153 <br />tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 83-95 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance vacating a sewer easement heretofore granted by John W. Heller and Captola Heller <br />for the installation of a sewer in tfie City of North Olmsted, and accepting a new <br />sewer easement. Mr. McKay aoved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 83-95 add.pted. <br />Ordinance No. 83-98 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted to pro- <br />vide for the installation of one (1) stop sign to be placed on the southeast corner <br />of Mitchell and Westview Drives and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay tnoved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Biexman, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 83-98 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 83-101 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance authorizing the Ma.yor to enter an agreement with the City of Fairview Park <br />relative to the ownership, operation and ma.intenance of the proposed sanitary <br />relief sewers recomnnended in the North Olmsted Facilities Plan. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 83-101 <br />adopted. <br />Before third reading of itesolution No. 83-102, Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend by <br />striking out any reference, throughout the legislation, to authorize the Director <br />of Public Service to advertise for a one-ton flat bed truck with a power lift gate <br />and one Jet Vac sewer cleaning machine, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 83-102 amended and placed back on second xeading, <br />Ordinance No. 83-103 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third xeadi,ng. An <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus personal property owmed by the eity of <br />North Olmsted and previously used by the bepartment of Public Services, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierinan, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 83-103 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 83-97 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />the purchase of one (1) new utility vehicle to be used by the Dog Warden, as <br />amended. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second <br />by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 83-97 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 83-102 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bias for a <br />backhoe tractor, a three--quarter ton pickup truck, one four-door sedan autoinobile <br />for use at the Wastewater Treatment Facilities Plant, and authorizing the Mayor to <br />contract for same, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Mr. McKay moved for <br />suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mr. Logan, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 83-102 adopted.
