Council Minutes of 6/7/83 <br />-8- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd):, <br />Wilamoskq moved for adoption, second by Mr. Logan. Affirmative vote: Bierman, Logan, <br />McKay, Petrigac, Saringer, WilauDsky. Negative vote: Woerpel. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - <br />Motion carried. Ordinance No. 83-69 adopted. <br />Mr. Logan pointed out that if Ordinance No. 83-69 had not been adopted, with the <br />necessary two-thirds vote, under suspension of rule requiring three readings, at <br />tonight's meeting, it would have cost North Olmsted approximately $8,000. <br />Ordinance No. 83-70 introduced by Ma.yor Swietyniowaki was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance for the resurfacing on S.R. No. 10, Lorain Road, within the City of North <br />Olmsted from the North Olmated west corporation limits to S.R. No. 17, Brookpark Road; <br />total length of work being approximately 3.53 miles. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Logan. Roll ca11 on totion: <br />Affirmative vote: Bierman, Logan, McKay, Petrigac, Saringer, Wilamosky. Negative vote: <br />Woerpel. 6 Aye - l Nay - Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, aecond by <br />Mr. Logan. Roll call on motion: Affirma.tive vote: Bierman, Logan, McKay, Petrigae, <br />Saringer, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Woerpel. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Ordinance No. 83-70 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 83-71 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing a benefits policy for CETA employees, who, after serving as <br />CETA employees, continue their employment with the City of North Olmsted. Referred to <br />Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 83-72 introduced by Mrs. Petrigac was given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance abolishing tlte Department of Budget and Management by repealing Chapter 167 of the <br />Codified Ordinances, and by further providing that the various functions of the Depart- <br />ment of Budget and Management be assigned to administrative personnel under the <br />direction and authority of the Mayor. Referred to Legislation Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 83-73 introduced by Mayor 3wietyniowski was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1983, and declaring an <br />emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. Woerpel asked where the detailed expenditure sheet from the architect was; Ma.yor <br />had promised copies for all of Council at the last meeting. Mayor replied that he <br />had just received the sheets from the arehitect today; will provide copies by early <br />part of next week or possibly later this week. <br />Mr. Woerpel asked when the auction on the homes would take place. Mayor replied on <br />Saturday, June 18th at 12 noon. <br />Mr. Woerpei asked Mr. Wilauwsky where Ordinance No. 83-40, trash removal from condo- <br />miniums, stood; he realized that Mr. Corrigan was to obtain some facts for the commtttee. <br />Mr. McKay advised that the Service Director has provided the inforuation. Hopefully, <br />an Environmental and Finance Committee Meeting could be scheduled within a week or so. <br />Mr. Woerpel asked what the status was on Ordinance Nv. 83-4, the establishment of a <br />Financial Task Force. Mr. Wilamosky advised that he appreciated the reminder; will <br />4D take it up in committee. <br />? _ ?
