Counczi Minutes of 3/1/83 _g_ <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 83-23 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for removing the prohibition of left turns between 4:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. <br />for all vehicular traffic traveling in a northerly direction on Dover Center Road <br />making left turns onto Mill Road. <br />Resolution No. 83-24 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. A reso- <br />lution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />illumination of a parking lot near the Community Cabin and the Senior Citizen Center <br />in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Safety Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 83-25 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An ordinance <br />appropriating fifty-four thousand dollars ($54,000.00) for capital expenses, general <br />obligation note issuance expenses, and general obligation note retirement, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 83-26 introduced by Mr. Logan was given its first reading. An ordin- <br />ance authorizing the Director of Public Service to sell the five (5) single family <br />structures presently being occupied by the City of North Olmsted, which are located <br />along Dover Center Road, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Recreatian, Public <br />Parks and Buildings Committee. <br />Resolution No. 83-27 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids for 5,000 tons of <br />asphalt and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 83-28 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids for 2,000 tons of <br />stone for various Service Department needs and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />same. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac, speaking on a point of personal privilege, express her regret that <br />Mr. Wilamosky did not share his opinions and feelings with respect to the Industrial <br />Park with the members of council, when he had every opportunity to do so, but in- <br />stead saved it all for the audience. Mr. Wilamosky replied that he felt he had <br />made his position completely clear to Council; the only point he addressed for the <br />first time tonight was the possible deprivation of development of existing <br />industrially rezoned land. <br />Mr. Bierman rescheduled the Recreation Comni.ttee Meeting from March 14th to <br />March 7th at 7:30 P.M. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a Legislative Committee Meeting for March 7th, immediately <br />following the Recreation Committee Meeting. Alsa, announced that there had been <br />some concern expressed with respect to abortion clinics; has been dipcussing same <br />regulations to control such a facility; will be presenting same to comittee. <br />Asked if the CounciZ or the Administration could make ealne recommendation in regard <br />to the Coe School situation. Councilwoman Petrigac and Maqor Swi.etyniowski stated <br />that all inquiries regarding Coe School shauld be presented to the school board. <br />Mr. Woerpel commnented that a number of complaints were registered about the excess <br />of salt on the streets this past weekend. Service Director advised that the tail- <br />40 on one of the trucks had jamaaed and a load was lost. Also, some intersections <br />were salted on the request of the Police Department. <br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting <br />at 10:35 P.M. ,
