.
Council Agenda for 2/15/$3 -8-
Mr. Bierman stated that this subject had been covered quite extensively two
weeks ago, as well as in the media, and suggested that Council move on to
other business.
Mr. Wilamosky asked if anyone in the Administration was currently serving as
liason to handle complaints from residents regarding the water bills and sewer
bills currently being received from Cleveland. Service Director stated that in
the past his department had been handling the complaints; has found it extremely
frustrating to deal with the Cleveland Water Department; their basic philosophy
is that if anyone has a problem, they should come down personally. After dis-
cussion, Mayor Swietyniowski suggested that the complaints continue to hc re-
ferred to the Service Department. Mrs. Saringer suggested the residents call
their congressman since he has his own liason set up to deal with complaints.
Mrs..Petrigac asked if Ordinance No. 83-4 had been reported out on; Mr. Wilamosky
said it had not yet been discussed in committee; Mr. Woergel had asked that it
be put on second reading; hopefully by next meeting, Mr. Wilamosky wi11 be able
toreport out. Mrs. Petrigac stated she would like to attend the commnittee
meeting; has a few concerns to address.
Mr. Wilamosky requested the Administration to furnish Members of Council with
Exhibit "A" as indicated in Ordinance No. 82-18.
Mrs. Petrigac asked if all street markings in the City were in accordance with
the State code. Mr. Logan said that he had been in recent coamunication with
the City Engineer who was going to compile a list and submit it to Council;
will be scheduling a Transportation Committee Meeting and will ask Mr. Zurawski
to present it at that meeting.
Under New Business:
Mr. Bierman discussed a recent newspaper article and asked the Mayor if it were
true that the schools would be reduced to a mini-program at the park only; not
utilizing the schools suumner recreation programs. Mayor replied that he had
not talked to the newspzpers and was not aware of the article. Mr. McRay stated
that he thought the reference was to the sinnmer programs put on by the Recreation
Department; they had proposed cuts in the area of field trips, cutting down on
the extensive program they had last year; the information would be found in the
Recreation budget.
Mr. Bierman scheduled a Recreation Committee Meeting for March 14th at 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting for February 19th at 6 P.M.
and also for Februa.ry 23rd at 7 P.M.
There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting
at 9:55 P.M.
C.r.
