,. <br />Council Minutes of 10/2/84 -6- <br />Law Director Gareau advised that it was not necessary to reconsider the legislation; <br />?""` situply put it back on the agenda and proceed to consider it again. Mr. Bierman <br />~" changed his motion to "place Ordinance No. 84-65 on tonight's agenda, for third <br />reading", second by Mr. Rademaker. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: <br />Bierman, Petrigac, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: O'Grady. <br />6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. Mrs. Petrigac moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Rademaker. Ro11 call on motion: Affirmative vote: Bierman. Negative vote: <br />O'Grady, Petrigac, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. 1 Aye - 6 Nay - Motion <br />failed. Ordinance No. 84-65 defeated. <br />Mr. Bierman asked the Mayor when the County would start the widening of Clague Road <br />at the Lorain intersection and would the signalization of the intersection be done <br />at the same time. Mayor replied the signalization is in the plans; does not know <br />when the work will take place. <br />Mr. Bierman commented on the Mayor's report concerning the new program called <br />HOME and asked it this would entail additional manpower in the Building Department. <br />Mayor responded, "no". <br />Mr. Bierman asked if it was possible to start the process now for nameing re- <br />located 252. Mr. Gareau replied that it must be determined if the right of way has <br />been dedicated for record purposes. Mr. Bierman stated that he would like to call <br />this section "Great Northern Boulevard" since that is what the greatest portion of <br />it is known as now. <br />Mr. Rademaker discussed the issue of Boss Construction exceeding the $5,000 bid <br />limit and asked if there were any prior instances in the last two years or more <br />where this type of bid limit was exceeded in the Service Department. Mayor replied <br />that the emergency purchase of a pump at the Wastewater Treatment Plant was the <br />only occasion he could recall. Law Director Gareau stated that he recalled a <br />sewer collapse in the Deerfield Subdivision where this type action was taken. <br />Under New Busines <br />Mrs. Petrigac scheduled a Transportation Committee Meeting for October 22nd at <br />7:30 P.M. and a Council Chamber Committee Meeting for 8:00 the same evening. <br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting <br />at 9:30 P.M. <br />orence E.
