<br />Council Minutes of 9/18/84 _2_ <br />Finance Director Boyle reported: 1) Note sale totaling $3.4 million dollars will <br />be closed tomorrow; roll over of notes expires the following day, September 20th. <br />Notes were sold through McDonald and Company at 7.8% interest - $275,000. Because <br />of the MIG 1 rating, City will save about $14,000. The one day delay to allow <br />investing that money will probably bring in about $1,400 which is about the amount <br />of interest the City is paying on the smallest of the four notes - the $54,000 note. <br />2) Directors Boyle and Logan will be attending a budget hearing on October 15th at <br />the County Administration .Building, in front of Mr. David Bloom of the Auditor's office. <br />3) Received estimates far the 1985 Local Government Fund in the amount of $497,000. <br />State of Ohio advises this year's fund may be lower than originally estimated because <br />corporate franchise tax collections are lower. Corporate franchise tax collections <br />account for approximately I.5% of Local Government Funds. <br />Audience participation: <br />Mr. Murray Hiltz, 26101 Country Club Boulevard, addressed Council with a request that <br />the proper committee of Council investigate the ordinance passed ir_ June of 1957 with <br />respect to outlawing pin ball machines in the City of North Olmsted. President Boehmer <br />asked Mr. O'Grady to discuss Mr. Hiltz's request at the next meeting of the Public <br />Safety, Health and Welfare Committee. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 84-65 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted <br />of a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City of North Olmsted by providing <br />for anew section relating to the forfeiture of office of elected officials or <br />administrative position under certain circumstances, and declaring an emergency, <br />as amended. Mr. Wilamosky moved Covncil table Ordinance No. 84-65, second by <br />Mr. Tallon. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Negative vote: Bierman, Rademaker. 3 Aye r 2 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No. <br />84-65 tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 84-67 introduced by Mr. Bierman was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1174.06 of the Zoning Code entitled "Rear Yard <br />Restrictions" of Chapter 1174 entitled "Height and Area Regulations for Retail <br />Business Districts", as amended. Mr. Bierman moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-67 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 84-78 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />50,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for use by the North Olmsted Wastewater Treat- <br />ment Facilities Plant. An <br />ordinance establishing the compensation to be paid to administrative and supervisory <br />personnel employed by the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and declaring an emergency. <br />Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 84-84 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An ordin- <br />aice authorizing the Mayor to enter into a cooperation agreement with the Cuyahoga <br />County Board of Commissioners for the utilization of funds. made available by the <br />Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974, 1977 and 1980, as amended, and declar- <br />ing an emergency.
