<br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />AUGUST 23, 1984
<br />Present: President Pro Tem Janet Saringer, Councilmen Bierman, Rademaker,
<br />Tallon, Wilamosky.
<br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Law Director Michael Gareau, Clerk of
<br />Council Florence Campbell.
<br />Absent: President Boehmer, Councilmen O'Grady and Petrigac.
<br />Special Meeting of Council was called to order by President Pro Tem Janet Saringer
<br />at 8:10 P.M.
<br />LEGISLATION:
<br />Ordinance No. 84-72 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance to transfer and make appropriations for current expenses and other ex-
<br />penditures for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending December 31,
<br />1984, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule re-
<br />quiring three readings due to questions and concern by Members of Council as well
<br />as members of the community with respect to capital improvement at North Olmsted
<br />Park, the Veterans' Memorial; the necessary transfer to provide this funding is
<br />in Ordinance No. 84-72, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No.
<br />84-72 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-73 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 84-68 entitled, "an ordinance providing
<br />for the issuance and sale of $3,050,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of
<br />bonds, for the purpose of constructing, furnishing and equipping a combined Bus
<br />Garage, Service Garage and Municipal Administration Building and improving the site
<br />thereof, and declaring an emergency", and declaring an emergency. Mr. ?Jilamosky
<br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings on Ordinance No. 84-73,
<br />stating that this legislation as well as Ordinance Nos. 84-74, 84-75 and 84-76
<br />provides for the elimination of a clause that provided for a different interest rate
<br />beyond the maturity date, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. tJilamosky
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 84-73
<br />adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 84-74 introduced by Mr. ?Jilamosky was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 84-69 entitled, "an ordinance providing
<br />for the issuance and sale of $350,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds,
<br />for the purpose of purchasing trucks, automobiles and other motorized equipment,
<br />together with the necessary appurtenances thereto, for various departments of the City,
<br />and declaring an emergency", and declaring an emergency. Mr. ?dilamosky moved for
<br />suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously
<br />approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously
<br />approved. Ordinance No. 84-74 adopted.
