.. <br />Council Minutes of 7/3/84 -6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 84-65 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of Tdorth Olmsted <br />of a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />a new section relating to the forfeiture of office of elected officials under certain <br />circumstances, and declaring an emergency. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac stated that she had not received a reply to her inquiry regarding the <br />painting of addresses on curbs; the college students who had done this in the past <br />and had obtained a permit at City Hall are being told they can no longer perform <br />this service and cannot get a permit. Mayor Swietyniowski replied that he would <br />send Mrs. Petrigac a memo after checking with the appropriate department because <br />he was unable to answer her at this time. <br />Mr. Tallon asked Mayor Swietyniowski if anything had been done with respect to the <br />drainage at the Recreation Complex; money had been allocated for drainage in the <br />budget. Mayor replied that he thought the Recreation Commission had changed their <br />priorities, placing the purchase of a water tower first and putting the drainage <br />problem on the back burner. Mr. Tallon pointed out that if this were indeed the <br />case then the line item in the budget should be taken out before coming before <br />Council for approval. Mayor stated that he would look into this and if there had <br />to be a change, he would take care of it. <br />Mr. Rademaker asked if legislation had been received from Squire, Sanders and Dempsey <br />regarding Plan I or Plan II, or Plan IV on the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Director <br />Boyle replied that it should be ready this week; there had been a holdup partially <br />caused by the City.. <br />Mr. Wilamosky noted that the budget resolution, Resolution No. 84-44, was not on the <br />agenda and at this point moved Council amend the agenda to include Resolution No. 84-44, <br />which is the estimated 1985 budget, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Wilamosky also moved that a number of changes be made in Resolution No. 84-44, <br />enumerated same, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 84-44 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its second reading, <br />as amended. A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />Fiscal Year beginning January 1, 1985, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, <br />and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac requested that a letter of appreciation from Council be sent to the <br />men who did such a fine ,job in furnishing the Council Chambers. Finance Director <br />Boyle stated that in the absence of the Clerk, a member of his staff would do so. <br />Mrs. Petrigac scheduled an Ad Hoc Committee Meeting for Thursday, July 12, 1984, <br />to include Councils appointments to said committee, Mr. Rademaker and Mrs. Petrigac. <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a Legislation Committee Meeting for July 23rd, at 8 P.M. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for Monday, July 9th, at 7 P.M,, <br />and requested Chief Taylor, Captain Brow and Safety Director Petra to be in attendance. <br />President Boehmer announced that a Public Hearing would be held on Monday, July 23rd, <br />at 7:30 P.M., to discuss Cable TV rate increases. <br /> <br />
