Council Minutes of 12/5/85
Mrs. Petrigac discussed the removal of trees in the front of the old Sambo/
Casey restaurant. She believes they were part of the original plans; why
+~w were they destroyed? Law Director commented that it is very disturbing to
have someone come in and bulldoze trees down and destroy landscaping that
was made part of the original plans; since they are specifically designated
on the plans, in his opinion, the responsible party could be made to replace
them. Further, would never issue another occupancy permit for the property
unless the original plans were complied with or they come back and have
new plans approved by Planning Commission and this council. Mr. Gareau also
feels that the city code should be amended to indicate that if trees and
shrubbery are removed, they will be replaced; the city will enforce by civil
action and there will be criminal penalties for removal. Mrs. Petrigac said
she would be more than happy to sponsor such legislation if the Law Director
will prepare it.
-7-
There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting
at 9:25 P.M.
/ly.
orence E. Campbell, lerk of Council awes D. Boehmer, President of Council
