Council Minutes of 7/lb/85 -5- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Resolution No. 85-85 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given. its first <br />reading. A resolution selecting Mayor Anthony C. Sinagra to serve as our repre- <br />sentative to the Cuyahoga County 911 Planning Committee. Mrs. Saringer moved for <br />suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Resolution No. 85-85 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 85-86 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending various sections of and creating new sections within Chapter <br />1221 of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances entitled, "Signs", thereby providing <br />for the prohibition and eventual elimination of pole signs within the City of <br />North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 85-87 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance approving a Memorandum of Understanding with the American Federation <br />of State, County and Municipal Employees and the Public Works Division of the <br />Department of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted and repealing Ordinance <br />No. 83-147 enacted December 6, 1983, and declaring an emergency. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac asked when the wiring would be completed in the Community Cabin <br />and when the organizations who use it would be notified as to its availability. <br />Mayor responded that it is perhaps a couple of weeks away from having the <br />electrical work completed; will not have any further information until he has <br />the final plans. <br />Mr. Tallon complained of the poor job being done by the Recreation Department in <br />cutting the grass at the north end of North Olmsted Park. Only a narrow strip <br />along the edges of the road is being cut and even that is not being kept up. <br />Asked the Mayor to please look into the situation and have the entire north end <br />mowed properly. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac reported an Ad Hoc Planning Committee meeting had been held on <br />July 15th with guests Janet Saringer and Mary Hill also in attendance. Regula- <br />tions from Fairview Park and the City of Euclid, with respect to screening and <br />five foot buffer green areas were discussed; will be asking Shaker Heights for <br />a copy of their regulations. <br />Mrs. Petrigac moved that the sum of $50 be taken from council's line item, <br />"Travel" and be donated to the Child Find Registry; if the money is not there, <br />then each council person donate $6.00 for. this purpose. After discussion, <br />it was the consensus of council that individual contributions from members would <br />be made. <br />Mrs. Petrigac scheduled a Recreation Committee Meeting for Tuesday, July 23rd, <br />at 7 P.M. <br />Mr. Bierman commended Linda Spencer for carrying out the duties of the Clerk <br />in the absence of Florence Campbell. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for Thursday, July 25th, at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />
