MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCII, <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 23, 1985 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman,. O`Grady, Petrigac, <br />Saringer, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council .Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilmen Rademaker and Tallon. <br />Special Council Meeting was called to .order by President Boehmer at 8:00 P.M., in <br />Council Caucus Room, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 85-48 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its. third reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31st,. 1.985, as amended. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. .O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 85-48 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 85-61 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $41,-500 bonds for the purpose of <br />improving the Recreational Facilities of the City by constructing a water cooling <br />tower and acquiring and installing piping, a condenser pump and water treatment <br />facilities, together with the necessary appurtenances .thereto, at the Recreation <br />Center. <br />Ordinance No. 85-62 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of.$12O.,OOO notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring motor vehicles and equipment <br />for the Department of Public Safety. <br />Ordinance No. 85-63 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $120,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving Lorain Road (State Route 10) <br />between certain termini, in cooperation with the Director of Transportation of .the <br />State of Ohio, by resurfacing with asphaltic concrete and reconstructing the pave- <br />ment base, curbs and sidewalks, where necessary, together with all necessary <br />appurtenances thereto, and declaring an emergency. <br />Prior to second reading, Councilman O'Grady stated that he is opposed to passage <br />of Ordinance No. 85-64; he has discussed the ordinance with Councilman Tallon <br />who is also opposed to the ordinance. Both Finance Committee Members are opposed <br />to this means of financing street repairs. <br />
