,, .. <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 16, 1985 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, O'Grady, Petrigac, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Boehmer at 8:15 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of April 2, 1985, were approved. <br />President Boehmer announced: 1) Ordinance No. 83-61, a resolution accepting for <br />recording purposes only the 7515 Company's Subdivision No. 2, has been removed <br />from the agenda. <br />2) Ordinance No. 84-110, establishing "no stopping or parking zones on the fire <br />hydrant side" of Dogwood Trail, Linwood Circle and Forestwood Parkway, is being <br />added to the agenda and placed on second reading. <br />3) Ordinance No. 85-45, an agreement with the North Olmsted Fire Fighters' Local <br />1267 I.A.F.F., as well as Ordinance No. 85-46, the vacation of a sanitary sewer <br />easement on property occupied by the Great Northern Shopping Center and accepting <br />an easement for a relocated sanitary sewer are also being added to the agenda <br />and placed on first reading. <br />Mayor Swietyniowski reported: 1) The month of May has been tradionally set aside <br />to honor senior citizens; May 14th, Senior Citizens Day will be celebrated at <br />Great Northern Mall; May 15th, special observance at the Senior Center. <br />2) Spring street sweeping began last Friday. <br />3) Tree-lawn trees showing signs of disease are now being sprayed; rear portion of <br />Bretton Ridge Subdivision is completed; signs have been posted to alert residents <br />of future spraying. <br />4) Senior Citizens' parking lot is near completion; islands and shrubs are being <br />installed; project was funded with Community Development Block Grant money. <br />5) City of North Olmsted and North Olmsted Police Department will assist North <br />Olmsted PTA and Pre-School PTA with a new child protection program. <br />6) Building Department personnel have been inspecting all service stations to <br />check compliance with Ordinance No. 85-12, requiring air pumps to be available; <br />all stations were in compliance except one. <br />7) Starting next Monday, water line relining and repair work will be started in <br />the area between Clague Road and the east corporation line. A direct telephone <br />line, 664-3060, has been established to the Cleveland Water Department. Project <br />is expected to be completed in approximately six weeks. <br />
